For people who read on multiple devices, phone, tablet, e-reader, do you ever lose your reading position when switching between them? How do you handle it?

If I read one book on, say, both Kindle and the Kindle mobile app, when I switch between them, I'm given the choice to sync to the furthest position I reached between the two.
If you mean how do handle reading multiple books at once on different devices, I deliberately select books with different settings, timeframes, or genres, so that I can keep them straight in my mind. I might choose a WWII HF, a contemporary YA, and a true crime going at the same time, but I would never read three WWII HF at the same time. 😳
