Heyyy!! Quick question: I don’t really write short stories specifically, so if I were to have a journal could I post anything like snippets from my other stories?

Hey, random question, but I've always wanted to do a Beta Read for somebody... anyone know how to do that?
I yawned as I rolled out of my purple bed, hitting the alarm clock on my bed stand. A couple of seconds after doing so I suddenly remembered that today was my 13th birthday! I stumbled to the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair. I combed and twisted my unnaturally blond hair into 3 interlocking buns unlike my usual loose braid. After I was finished, I took out the frilly blue, pink, and purple blended gown my parents desperately wanted me to wear because it made my bright blue eyes more noticeable. I hated it because it was so hard to put on, especially because I had to also wear lace stockings with skinny, too skinny heels. But I never complain. I sat down on my bed knowing that I would never get a second to myself as soon as I came down the stairs and became the center of attention. I took a multiple deep breath and tried to tug on my hair which I do when I'm nervous but couldn't because my hair was up. I grimaced as I walked downstairs seeing just what I expected.
My parents would do a random theme every year. Like last year, they did a tropical themed party starting at my pool, ending at Hawaii. As I walked down stairs, I wasn’t surprised to see my living room was now a ball room, no wonder I’m wearing this frilly dress! My mom has bright blond hair. Last year she said that her hair was too dark so she dyed it a brighter color which did not match her green eyes and her chiselled jaw. She was wearing a beautiful yellow strapless dress, while my dad, who has olive skin and smoky blue eyes, was wearing his second favorite suit. Because apparently I’m not good enough for his best suit.
“Happy birthday Selena!”
My mom said excitedly as she rushed to hug me. I let the embrace last about three seconds before I backed away.
My dad clapped his hands together as the server rushed toward them.
“Tell the chef to make us breakfast.” My dad ordered.
“Yes, sir!” The server said, racing to the kitchen. I looked toward the table with all of my presents. “29.” I counted.
“Yes dear,” My mom nodded excitedly, “We made all of our servers buy something for you!” I cringed. I hated when they did that. I didn’t want the servers to buy me gifts. They should be spending it on themselves! So every year I would take the gifts the servers got me and return them but I had to make sure my parents did see me give them back or I would be in trouble. I looked away and examined the huge dining room with about 20 chairs which was weird because there were only 3 people in my family. Just then the server who had run off before came in, “Your breakfast!" he shouted.
As he said that, five waitresses rushed into the room carrying large dishes. They gently placed the dishes on the table, opened them and backed away. The food looked amazing! The first dish had high stacked fluffy pancakes with syrup, butter, and ice cream on the top! The second dish had egg custard cups with a creamy egg batter with dill on top. In the third dish there were chocolate crepes with a chocolate and caramel drizzle and raspberries and blueberries with mint leaves stuck in between. In the fourth smaller dish there were pieces of huge bacon baked with brown sugar, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. In the fifth and final dish there were Belgian waffles and on top with a caramel-banana sauce.
I gasped “This is too much for me to eat! Please sit down with me and take a bite!” I tried to say this as regally as possible. The servers hesitantly sat down and started eating. I took a chocolate crepe, a piece of bacon, and hastily gobbled it down. I was still staving from the night before, so I reluctantly took some Belgian waffles. After we were finished, my mom said we should open some of my presents, so I agreed and took a random package. It was from my wardrobe server, Freya. She helps me pick my outfits. Usually they are not that bad, but today it was because my mom chose it. I opened it to find a white dress with finely stitched blue overalls.
Then Freya whispered into my ear, “No need to return this one like you do with all the others because I hand stitched this.” She smirked like she thought that annoyed me.
“Thank you so much Freya!” I said, giving her my brightest smile. She smiled back as she backed up.
I next took a long wrapped gift that was blue with a silver bow, and as I looked for the name tag I could not find one. I opened the gift to find a long sword with a golden handle with a blue teardrop sapphire pressed into the middle. I stared at it with awe. Underneath there was a brown sheath with elegant flower engravings. The sword had a beautiful and graceful type of dangerousness.
“A sword!” My mother gasped. She picked it up by the top like it was a dirty towel. “Who has given this atrocious gift?!” She exclaimed as she held it in front of the gathered servers. They all looked at the ground and said nothing. I took the sword from her.
“Mother, it's not yours to take.” I said calmly. I set it aside carefully and picked up the next present, which was a small envelope. I tore open the envelope to find concert tickets from one of the cleaning servers. The tickets looked pretty cool, but I was going to sell them for more than the cost and give all the money back to him. “Thank you so much, I will enjoy this concert!” I lied. He gave me a wink and backed away. I picked up the next gift and turned the small square box to find the label. When I found it I saw it, it literally said “no one.” I looked around in confusion. Who had given me this gift? It could be dangerous, but out of curiosity I opened it anyway. Inside there was a gorgeous necklace with an identically large tear drop shaped sapphire. It was the prettiest necklace I had ever seen. Since there was no way I could return it, I put it around my neck, letting it glistening in the sun. My dad nodded, “It looks good on you.” Everyone else in the room murmured their agreement. Suddenly the most random idea filled my head.
“Mom, dad? Can we go to a forest?”
“What?” They said in unison.
“Why a forest?” My mom asked.
“We were going to host an entire ball for you,” My dad said.
“Well…” I said, struggling for an explanation. “I want to go glamping. We could rent a huge RV with everything we needed to feel like home.
“Please,” I asked. My mom sighed.
“But there are animals and mushy stuff.” My mom complained.
“But fine, if that’s what you want.” “Yay!” I shouted.
“Sevants! Pack our bags and go get us an RV. We are going glamping in the Taigas.”
I rolled my eyes. “I can pack my own stuff, mom,” I said, trying to sound not desperate to be alone. I hauled all of my gifts up our grand spiraling staircase, and through a large, grand hall that had golden lining and a bunch of guestrooms on either side. I walked all the way to the end where my bedroom was, opened the door and walked in and sighed and sat on my large purple canopy bed that looked like it was fit for a princess. I scanned the room, I saw my purple rug, with the softest fur, I saw my pink closed blinds so I walked to the end of my room and opened them, letting the sunlight hit my face. After doing so, I sat back down looking at my huge book shelf with all my favorite books, most in which are fantasy, “Harry Potter,” “A Wrinkle in Time,” “Wings of Fire,” and “Keeper of the Lost Cities.” And many others I took the concert tickets and put them on my dressing table making a mental note to sell them when I had a chance. I put on the dress Freya got me, finding out that it fit perfectly. I spun around letting it whirl around me. I knew it was a dress but I decided to wear it while we were glamping. Then I took the sword out of its sheath and swung it around a bit, finding it surprisingly easy to stab the ugly pink chair, letting feathers wirl around the room. I felt a sense of ease knowing that the chair was ruined. I packed my sword in my blue backpack, feeling better that I had it with me. I also packed a flashlight because I felt better having it. Then I took my plush pig named Puddles. I have had him since I was 3. It was my birthday and my parents brought me shopping to look for presents. We went into multiple stores with tons of stuff like custom built doll houses and designer plush toys but I did not like any of them. We were walking by this small, worn down, antique shop and I begged to go inside. After my parents reluctantly went in, I scanned the shelves. After doing so I found a cute plush cat but when I grabbed it, a plush pig from the top shelf fell over and landed in my hands, knocking out the small cat.
I had never seen a pig before because my parents hate anything that has a speck of dirt on it. But I loved it instantly. Even though my parents practically begged me to buy something else, my mind was set. But, on the way home I tripped over a crack in the pavement and dropped Puddles in the mud. That is how Puddles got his name. So after that even if he was dirty I had to have Puddles with me every night or I would not stop crying. I stared at the worn down pig before setting him down in my backpack.
I went to my drawer and pulled out some earplugs to listen to music and maybe drown out my parents yapping about how rich they are and blah blah blah blah blah. I only packed a couple of things in my backpack because even though I told my mom not to pack my stuff I knew she would pack my stuff anyway. I zipped up my backpack and I went through the hallway, down the stairs, and into our manicured, botanical.
I stepped out onto the patio breathing in a complex, strong, blend of earth, flowers, and foliage. I walked by our rose bushes coming to a stop and the one I planted years ago. It wasn't as big or lush as the ones around it but it was my favorite. I had planted it from a very seed and watered it every day. I leaned into its pink and yellow blended petals breathing in its crisp almost fruity smell. I headed past my rose bush and toward the animal enclosure a couple yards away. I stared into the bars seeing the chinchillas bouncing on one floor to the other. I climbed the stairs at the side and headed up to the next level of the enclosure. I couldn't open the door or the endangered butterflies would escape. So I peered through the window to mainly see a bunch of plants and flowers but I found a couple butterflies hiding in between the leaves. I smiled and headed up to the third and final level. This one had a glass wall separating me from the ocean life. Inside there were dolphins, sea turtles and schools of clown fish in between the kelp. One swam up to where I put my finger and tried to eat it. I lifted my finger and giggled as the clownfish swam away. I walked back down and continued walking down the path toward our new RV. I passed the pond, where we had some koi fish swimming in circles. I looked over the small bridge that went over it. The koi fish came in many shades of orange, white, black, and even yellow. I kept walking, I could see the RV in sight now. It was right past the cherry blossom trees, their flowers in full bloom. She twirled as the petals fell around her, the breeze light and gentle. Eventually she got to the large RV parked right outside the large fence that surrounded the property. One of the butlers opened the door and then they took my suitcase to the trunk in the back. I stepped inside the RV to find that
the inside looked even larger than the outside!
She looked around, there were two couches lining the walls and a small fireplace, there were also two bunk beds in the back of the RV lining next to a small bathroom. And in the front, of course, there was a plush seat with a wheel lined with gold. I sat down on one of the couches and waited for my parents to arrive.
