Discuss Black House here. Please mark all spoilers for those reading along this month.

Angie, can you PLEASE block Pupperino from the group? Everyone is sick of their constant disruptive, nonsensical "test" posts.

Rafael 林黒狼 (morfindel) | 39 comments It's absurd how they are not bothered by this.

Rick | 81 comments I recently read Black House again, and enjoyed it even more this time around. And I was surprised at all the references to the Dark Tower characters, I hadn’t remembered there as being so many.

Kat (Katlovesbooks) Dietrich (katd59) | 31 comments I think I may have enjoyed The Talisman more, but I still give this book 5 stars (the third time around). Jack may have aged, but the storyline does not. I love all the references to King's other books, and can't wait for the new book!

I didn't remember how much it ties to The Dark Tower!

I read this fairly recently. I loved the style it was written in. Quite a bit different from other King books. I thought Henry was super cool! Judy was great too. Loved the dark tower connections. I always enjoy discovering them.

Cordelia (anne21) | 4 comments I really enjoyed that book. It really is a full-on "Dark Tower" book. - I hadn't realized that.

One thing I really liked was the way the narrator took us flying above the town and its people' popping down from time to time to visit various places and to meet and learn about some of the people. It was so surreal.

Favourite characters: Henry of course. Also the bikie gang they were so cool.

Looking forward to the nest book.

I thought the flying above the town was clever. Great way to introduce us to the places and characters of the book.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the Talisman.

Oscar | 63 comments First time reading. I did read The Talisman, but not during last month's re-read.

They are quite different. Black House feels more horror and streamlined. Not as much back and forth between this world and The Territories.

The Talisman is probably bigger in scope and complex, but I think I prefer Black House. The mystery/horror focus on The Fisherman murders really won me over and it was all very creepy.
