7. Magdalena begins by (accidentally) killing in self-defense, but each additional death becomes more morally complicated until the point where she can no longer deny what she’s doing. What triggers her turning point? How does she reform her skills and the ways she uses them afterward?

(view spoiler)[I think Magdalena's turning point takes place at the death of Chiara, when she has to reorder her views about what her order is doing. Then Seripando's death confirms her change. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ She is slowly moving in that direction:
-She is already aware that something is wrong when explaining to Chiara, although she tries to justify their work to Chiara as well as to herself.

-She gets to know and love Seripando. But she still believes he is a heretic, and finds potential heresy in his words when there is none. I would not have been surprised if the novel had her try to stop his death.

-Then comes Chiara's death, as mentioned in the above post.

-And finally, getting to know Morone and his conversation with Ferdinand, who considers Seripando a saint. She knew him well enough to see that Ferdinant is correct.
