I always assumed those had some kind of limit on how many times they could be accessed, or how many different people could, etc.

This news is especially sad because Steve's recent discussion of Berry's work in the Short Story conference nudged me to check out a collection of his stories: That Distant Land: The Collected Stories. As I read them now I realize that some of them aren't new to me - I'd just forgotten over time.

We lost another great woman. She and the Women’s Movement in general opened the doors of my life.

Oh no! I truly lived that book. It’s still on my bookshelf.

I ordered Nathan Coulter after Berry died. I gave it four stars and felt it had the promise to be an interesting series about Port William, so I've ordered the 2nd book from the library. I still have Pilgrim at Tinker Creek at home after our discussion which I need to keep reading. I hate to see our contemporaries dying. I've got to read faster to get to more of my TBR list.
