Stephen King Fans discussion

Hello Constant Readers. Can you believe I've almost been the moderator of the group for TWENTY YEARS. The group was established 2007! Chris joined a few years later though I don't remember exactly when. After all this time and after I missed a lot of the spammer posts I have decided that it's time to see if anyone wants to co-moderate the group. This last year Chris had to take a year off and so it's just been myself here. We would love to have like three people.

Here are some things to consider:
1. Can you be here for a long time?? A couple years??? As you can see I've been around here 20 years. So think to yourself if you think you'll be active in the group 1-2 years from now. Life happens so obviously you aren't locked into a contract but I would consider this.

2. It's time consuming sometimes. Checking all the comments and threads can be a lot of work. Not that you have to do it everyday but something to also think about.

3. Last, you'll have to be willing to join another group. I'm going to set up a group where it's just for the mods to talk. It'll be called Stephen King Fans Moderators. Now that they have removed messaging this is the only way mods could talk. Like sometimes when I couldn't get to goodreads on the last day of the month I would message Chris to set up the BOM for me.

So these are just things to keep in mind before stepping up. I think by having a few more moderators that would help a lot to carry the weight of the group. Thanks for anyone who wants to step up.

Hi Angie, I'm not a real active person here in the group, but I always come to take a peep and read. I'm a moderator in another group, so I've got some experience there. I'm active daily in different groups with different BR's, challenges...and that since, I think 14 years or more. Time flies! I'm a huge Stephen King fan since I was 13. I'm now 43 years young.

Saar should be a good choice. We've been in a few groups together...And she can help cover the European times

I'd love to help out with the group! I've been on Goodreads since February of 2019 and I joined this group in February of 2020. I'm always checking on the new posts in the group pretty much every day and I plan on being here forever! Joining another group for the mods wouldn't be a problem at all.

Would love to help out. Joined Goodreads in December of 2019 and joined this group in March of 2023. Am a daily and very active member of Goodreads, involved in several series reading challenges in other groups. Have been a Stephen King fan and reader for a long time. Joining another group would not be a problem and don't plan on going anywhere for a long time.

Thank you so much! Really it's so much help. I didn't need it for years but it's time.
