Authors Helping Authors discussion

Hello. I am a professional editor working in SEO content. As I am sure you are aware, SEO content is declining quite rapidly. Most recently, I was a managing editor for a large site, publishing 44 articles per week, for two years. I was a copyeditor for a large brand for four years prior to this, and an associate editor for a large content company for two years. I've also self-published several titles.

It has become necessary for me to explore other markets, and I have always wanted to edit books professionally. To gain experience that I can show off, I would like to offer to edit your book free of charge.

If I do poorly, you’ve lost nothing. And I won't do poorly. I will give you progress updates, completed chapters and will stay in communication with you. I will provide detailed suggestions and explain my reasoning why I am making them, and I will line edit for grammar and punctuation.

Some criteria:

Please, only American English
You must have published or self published at least one book
You must give me a review. This is my payment, as it were. You're under no obligation to give me a positive review. I want you to be honest.
Lets keep it under 100,000 words for mercy's sake

Respond directly to me here or with a comment or DM me on X, whatever you like, if you want to discuss this further. I appreciate you for considering me!
