Hi! I’m looking for a few more ARC readers for Black Wake, the first book in my dark romantasy duology, The Shattersea.

The quick pitch:

A sailor dives into black water to save a drowning woman.
Small problem: she isn’t a woman.

She’s a siren. Wings, talons, a voice capable of turning an entire ship against itself, and she has absolutely no business being aboard his vessel.

Dane should be afraid of Aeva. Aeva would typically eat Dane.
Instead, they become increasingly inconvenient to each other.

Black Wake is an adult dark/horror romantasy with a maritime setting, a slow-burn human × siren romance, dangerous magic, sharp banter, morally questionable choices, and a heroine who remains very much a predator even after feelings get involved.

If you enjoy romances where the question is less “will they kiss?” and more “is falling in love with this person going to create an entirely new category of maritime disaster?” this might be your thing.
