Hi everyone, I’m Büşra Dönmez, a psychologist and author from Istanbul, Turkey.
I’ve written eight books, but THE SURGEON is a particularly personal one.
It began with a brief encounter between a Turkish psychologist and a Peruvian plastic surgeon living in Brazil. Three days became a novel about love, distance, attachment, longing, and the strange ways another person can change the direction of your life.
I wrote it because sometimes someone enters your life for a very short time and leaves behind something that stays much longer.
I’d love to meet readers who enjoy emotionally complex stories about love, psychology, and human connection.
What is a book that stayed with you long after you finished it?
