I prefer paperbacks because they are easy to handle. Definitely the best for me.
Audios are good when I go for a stroll or when cleaning the house.
Ebooks normally on vacations when I cannot travel with much wieght.

I agree with you Vavita. Also, normally people say they read ebooks faster than physical books but or me it's the other way around.
Though there are enough audiobooks that dont work for me, they have been a life savior. Have read way more books than I could have, had I read only physical or ebooks, for example while doing chores or when my eyes are hurting.

I prefer listening to audiobooks as main type of reading with either a paper book or ebook as read-a-long or backup.
If I would keep up with my eye exercises, I could read faster than zi can listen.zBut that would be another piece of discipline every single day.

Physical books are my go-to. I tend to use my Kindle when searching for a book I can't find IRL. I really struggle with audiobooks. I really want to love them, but I get distracted too easily. If I'm listening to one, it usually has to be something light or with a narrator who does different voices or just has an overall more engaging production with music and sound effects.
I like audio when I am walking my dog or doing chores.I like a paperback when I am traveling or in the pool.
I use my kindle most of the time when I am just reading in the house or in bed.
I read one of each types at all times. So, reading 3 different books at a time. I have to be careful that the genres are not too similar though.
It is lunchtime in Albuquerque . I don't like reading and eating at the same time . So I am taking a break . Answer this one in a bit .
Five years ago half of what I read was physical books, then the amount of ebooks went up steadily, with audiobooks slowly becoming more and more. Reading ebooks is easier for my eyes than reading paper books with tiny print. And with my current eye inflammation more than half of what I read since August was audio. So, I prefer ebooks, because they are lighter and easier to read for me. And audio is great for doing other things at the same time.
Cathy I know thjngs are differently in different places, yet I wonder. . . .Do you have access to e-services through the local library system maybe through Kindke Unlimited?
Cynda Reads wrote: "Do you have access to e-services through the local library system maybe through Kindke Unlimited?"Kindle Unlimited doesn‘t have a great selection. I‘ve tried it several times, but it‘s not satisfying. I have access to Libby, which is so-so for my local library system. Audible is good for audio, but I am trying to reduce Amazon in general. I am subscribed to the unlimited version of StoryGraph and I am very happy with it.
I prefer physical books. Audio books are fine if I have a long commute, but my current work commute is short enough that they aren't practical. And I don't like ebooks. I am on the computer screen all day at work that my eyes and mind just want a break from the screen at the end of the day
I tend to gravitate toward physical books, but I also read several authors whose work is currently only available on Kindle. I do enjoy a good audiobook as well, but I am extremely picky when it comes to the narrator.
My first choice is physical books and audio books second . I don't care for any ebooks , except children's picture books to share with pre literate children .
