Since Oct, 1st merges are not going through. Has anybody noticed that?

their shelvings is not yet migrated and they need a recombine.

There is an issue indeed. I have also some merges stuck and reported them to support, but the answer I got wasn't useful.

I had an author recombine her books even though I had a note saying there was a merge waiting to close. I wonder just how many times that is going to occur before the system is fixed.

Renske, do you know what the consequences are if editions are recombined too soon? Do the merging editions just go into the default instead?

They go to the default edition which is awful; imagine I have a Persian edition merged and the shelvings go to a diffrent language.

I was thinking about format. I didn't even think about language. There is a small comfort that most English-speaking librarians would not even think to look for editions in non-Latin alphabets. Hopefully, that adds some protection.

I really wish the moderators were as present as they used to be. We seem to be a nuisance now.
