Japanese Light Novel Book Club discussion

Well, Fall 2026 has started.
I do not know if anyone if interested in knowing about which in the new season is developed from LNs or web novels.
If there is interest, I will continue the seasonal threads

First up is:
The World's Strongest Witch is a Japanese web novel series written by Mochimaru Sakaki. It originally began serialization on the online publication platforms Shōsetsuka ni Narō and Kakuyomu in May 2022, before being published as a light novel by Square Enix under its SQEX Novel imprint; six volumes featuring illustrations by Riritto were released from December 2022 to October 2026. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tamaki Toga began serialization on Kodansha's Monthly Magazine Base service in May 2023. An anime television series adaptation produced by Bridge and Aisle premiered in October 2026.

Plot
Lorna Hermit, a member of an aristocratic family, was kicked out by her family after manifesting what was seen as a "useless" SSS-rank skill. Finding herself outside for the first time in ages, she discovers that her new skill, "Internet", allows her to access the real world's Internet and look up information about her world. She is also gifted a powerful magic staff by a mysterious spirit. Armed with her new knowledge, she suddenly becomes very powerful, now knowing how to collect useful weapons and skills. Lorna now has to learn how to deal with both her impressive access to knowledge and her newfound strength, despite her desire to live a peaceful life.

The two volumes of the light novel are available in English so far.
It is light hearted (so far) and entertaining. (update reread the two volumes... still fun)

Once on my favorite light novels series is Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship!, Volume 1 and it has an anime television series adaptation produced by Studio A-Cat, aka "Saikyosoubi". There are 18 volumes in the LN series.

the plot...
One day, a man named Takahiro Satou mysteriously awakens in a world that is similar to his favorite science fiction video game. Now known by his in-game name Hiro, he becomes a powerful interstellar mercenary, and later attracts the attention of several women.

i hope it will be half as funny as the LN series...

omg.. eps 5 with be the "singing crystal" from the LN... I hope the animation of this event will be awesome.

another fun and low stress show is A Tale of the Secret Saint (Light Novel) Vol. 1 aka 転生した大聖女は、聖女であることをひた隠す or Tensei Shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto o Hitakakusu. 13 LNs so far, 11 are translated.
It also has a second LN series that goes back in the history of the main character: A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO (Light Novel) Vol. 1

There is a manga also. I have enjoyed this LN series and have read most of the volumes twice. The Anime is good also, if you like this genre.

Fia Ruud, a young girl, uses a healing potion on a black bird in the forest, which turns out to be a dragon that attacks and nearly kills her. As Fia is dying, she remembers that she was the great saint Seraphina 300 years prior in a previous life, which causes her to regain the power of a saint. Using this power, Fia saves herself and enters into a contract with the dragon Zavilia. Fia decides that it is best if she hides her true identity.
