Booktok 📚 discussion

I received emails from 2 people claiming to be members, Jessie (Community Representative) and Luiza (Community Moderator). The emails were from personal Gmail / email addresses and they were inviting authors to participate in an upcoming, 4-month-long project. I searched on here and found that Booktok Goodreads doesn't operate that way.

So I want to verify: Is it real? If so, the two people listed above are allegedly members of this forum and can reply.

If not, I will post their email addresses here so others can be alert. (I have not been asked for money [yet].)

hi, can you paste their profile links here?

The fradulent email addresses they were using were generic Gmail ones with accont names like:

"reader.[GoodreadsCommunityNameHere]@gmail.com"

and

"[GoodreadsCommunityNameHere].usofficial@gmail.com"

At least they're giving you email addresses.

The ones I've received are complimenting my book, using reviews of the blurb (not the book). Which I find funny because I can tell if they have read the book or not.
