With Thanksgiving here this month I thought we could look at things people are thankful for.

1. Family
Whether it is the family you are born into or the family you gain in life then be thankful for family.

2. Friends
Those people who make you laugh, have your back when you need it or just someone to talk to.

3. Health
Give thanks that we are well enough to celebrate another year with friends and family.

4. Food
So many don't have enough of this so if you have enough be thankful for the turkey and fixings and pies.

4 House/Home
If you have a place to live, a place you call home be thankful.

5. First sip of you favortite bevage in the morning
Sometimes getting out of bed is the last thing you want to do but that first sip of your morning coffee or tea or smoothie or juice just hits the spot.

6. Sunshine pouring in the window
To wake up with sunshine pouring in the windows just invigorates and makes you want to jump out of bed.

7. Snow to play in
The first snow of the season where you can out and have a snowball fight or build a snowman.

When the leaves start to turn and the sticky humid heat of summer has gone. The fresh cool weather of fall.

If you have someone in your life who you chose to be there let them know how thankful you are for them.

This might not be for everyone but a lot of people are thankful for sports be it baseball, football, golf, hockey or basketball.

11. A bubble bath
After a long day of work, family, errands or whatever taking a few minutes for you to relax.

With books becoming so expensive not everyone can afford to buy all the books they want to read so give thanks to your local library for giving every person a chance to read.

Even if your life isn't perfect or you can't travel the world you can travel and explore new places and meet new people in books.

Keep the things that make you laugh be it a person, a book, a tv show or movie or that song that makes you smile.

Television transports us to a new world we get involved in the lives of the characters. Some we hate and some we love.

17. Strangers reaching out to help.
Be it helping the person stranded on the side of the road, giving to a charity or just letting a car out into traffic all makes the other person feel grateful and maybe makes you feel good as well.

18. Pets
Who can forget to be thankful for our pets maybe this should be under family as well.

That tough day at work that is none stop, or a day full of errands with crying kids then coming home and taking a bite of your favorite snack is something to be thankful for.

Music can make us happy, sad and everything in between. Music reminds of other times, and of people who are or were significant to us.

From cult movies you just had to see to hanging with friends, and dates movies are staples in our lives.

There is not much better than sitting on a beach listening to the waves, drinking a cold drink, reading a book or talking with friends.

Not much beats for a view than a majestic mountain. They are fun for hiking as well if you are into that.

This might not be one everyone enjoys but getting on a cruise ship to be transferred to a new place each day is something I at least am thankful for. Plus no cooking, cleaning or making your bed.

25. Travel
