Hello all! So, welcome to December. It's probably time to get going on deciding our first meeting date. I don't have any illusions that we can meet everyone's needs, but I'm optimistic enough to try.
It's been decided that we will meet quarterly, with our first meeting sometime in January. So let me know: what works best for you? What won't work at all?
I'm thinking we will probably set up at least a couple of rooms and maybe times. I know that means not all ideas/thoughts will be shared with every member in real-time, but we can (once again) model Virtual Drinking Skeptically's brilliant organizer, Brian Gregory, and keep a blog, updated by each moderator, to share snapshots of the discussions.
So, personally, the week of 1/11/09 is the best; I'd be able to do it at pretty much any time during the evening (I'm currently MST, 2 hours behind EST and 7 hours behind GMT). After that, the new semester starts. I'd still be available during the week, but my evenings will have an earlier bedtime for a 7:00 am class every day.
So, your thoughts/ideas/desires (keep it PG-13, please :p )?
