Drake was up in a tall tower watching the sea crush the small rocks on the bank.

Natalie walked away from hr house.She couldnt blive her parents didnt want her anymore just because shes a mutant

A small bird flew in through the window, "At least you're not an illution." She wispered to it.

Sadie sat down at the lakeside and groaned. she wasn't even sure how her familie found out about her powers, and she certainly didn't think they would chuck her out for it. it wasn't as if they were bad- she could take away their pain, for gods sake! it was like they just cut their lifeline. a supid idea, it left Sadie burning with anger. she thought of a picture of her familiy engraved on a rock and plucked it from her mind and solidified it into her hand- before throwing it in the river. then she kicked some rocks. it helped. but she had no were to go

Natalie walked to lakeside and and sat down by the lake.She saw someone by the lake and walked over"Hi,Im Natalie"

At the sight of another human who didn't want her away, Sadie calmed down. "Hey, I'm Sadie," she said, pushing her fringe back "Why are you out so late?"

"I was kicked out of my house"

Huh? what a coincidence "Same old, same old eh? me too."

"Ya.I guess just you have powers means your like a freak or something"Natalie says sad sitting down

"you have them too? wow" Sadie thought t had been just her. then again, you would, wouldn't you, think it was just yourself "are there any others?"

"I dont know.but i think there is.If youy dont mind me asking what can you do"

"well......" it was easier to say the first one, but demonstrate the second. "I can take away pain. not heal a person, but just take the pain away. i haveto put it in something else, though. like a pot plant, cause i can't keep it myself. and the other.... think of an object. any object."

Natalie thought of a bird

Sadie plucked the thought from natalies head and brought it to her hand. suddenly, a little bird was nesting in it. she set it free to fly around. "Your turn next," she smiled

"Cool.I can control electricity and turn into a panther"Natalie says shooting electricity into the sky"And I can do what panthers do"Natalie jumped into a tree and landed on her feet then changed into a panther

"whoa" Saide was impressed. "Yours are so much cooler than mine. why did you think of a bird, by the way?"

"I dont really know"Natalie says thinking

"really?" this wasn't a gift of Sadies, but she'd had practice at telling if someone was hiding something

I guess cause birds are free and since i have tese powers its like ill never be free again

Drake sighed. She came to the window and jumped wings appeared on her back. She flew in a circle then flew to land. Soon she came to a lake. Suddenly she bagan to fall. She had used to much of her power. She saw two people just as she hit the water. Drake squirmed-she didn't know how to swim.

Natalie saw someone land in the lake.She jumped in and tryed to pull her onto land but she was to heavy

Drake felt someone tug her arm. She what streng she had left to ilusse the person who was holding her have lot of strength. She was limited though.

Natalie finally got her out of the water and looked at her"Are you ok"

Drake coughed up water, "Thank you...*cough*...very much."

"Your welcome"Natalie said coughing alittle from the struggle"Im Natalie"

"Drake...*cough*...nice to meet you." Drake stood now getting a grip on things.

Natalie helped her get up"Nice to meet you to"

"wasn't there someone else here?"

"She left i think"Natalie said looking around

"hmm." Drake pondered. "I think I ought to go now, bye..." Drake jumped up and spead some illused wings, and dissapeared into the sky. She had charged some of her powers when she was in one place.

Natalie sighed

Sadie sighed, and crept out from behind the rock she had hidden behind. she was very cautious tinguht. you would be, the night you got kicked out. "I could've helped her, you know. taken away the cough- or at least throught up a warm blanket. why'd she just leave?"

Drake was supprised to find Natalie hadn't even flinched at the sight of the illused wings. "strange..."

Was the girl still around? Sadie thought she heard a voice, but she couldn't be sure. and why would she want to talk to her, anyway?

"Hello? Pleploe?" Sadie sighed. too bad for this stuff. poeple were abandoned all the time, though not usually twice in one night

Drake stopped flying at a playground. She walked the rest of the way to the abandoned tower.

"oh come on, there were two people around here like three seconds ago!" there had to be somewhere she could stay the night, now that her home was no longer an option. and she was so bad at geoggers. "but there's always the abadoned tower..." Sadie mused. there was ALWAYS the abandoned tower. and probably a reason fo it too. but, she had nowhere else to go. she ploddded along off to it, not bothing to use er powers to help her. they had caued enough trouble already

Drake yauned as she reached it; she was very worn out. She opened the door and climbed a flight of stairs, even though it went all the stair went up way higher. "Her room" was on this floor.

Sadie arrived at the tower. it was not the nicest place in the world. the lower levels were abismal to say the least, and she didn't have the guts to explore the upper floors. she'd just stay right here, and if any wild animals came to bite her, so be it. she was not. in. the mood.

Drake fell onto mattress, long ago could have been a luxury king size bed, surrounded by planks of wood that had started to fall in on each other. She yawned and drifted into sleep...

Drake turned when she heard a noise but was still asleep. The boards beneath her creaked.

Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't. who knew? at this very moment, Sadie wasn't prepared to find out

One of the planks beneath the bed fell and Drake screamed awake.

Sadie gasped, scared almost out of her wits at the scream. someone was definately there. she watched as a wooden plank fell past from one of the upper floors. the scream was probably where that had come from "HELLO?" she called again "I could help"

Drake herd a voice and covered her mouth. No one needs to know I'm here, especially scence I tresspassed onto whoever's property.

"HELLLOOOOOOOO? helloieoieoie? come on, that scream wasn't a passing wind." after sleeping out (or almost, anyway) you knew the sound of a passing wind

That doesn't sound like someone who would own a place like this. Drake cautiously got up and went down the hall. she peeked her head around the cornervery slowly untill she saw Sadie.
