My dad was in the Army National Guard from age 18 to age 60. He retired in August and he never had to go to war. He built churches in Honduras when I was in eight grade. My dad helped clean up Gulf Port, MS after Hurricane Katrina. He just worked one weekend a month and two weeks out of the summer until the most recent war. For the last 3 years of his Guard career he was full time working in Wisconsin and Mississippi helping men and women prepare for Iraq and Afghanistan. He also helped men and women transition back from the war. Are we really suppose to be talking about soldiers? Who do you know that is a soldier? I'm going to get laughed at if we're not really suppose to talk about soldiers. My dad is one of my heroes. :)
