Eloradenin (animalsaremyeverything) lol
I've been rading Wicked for 3 or more...though mind you I am reading other books at the same time as well

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

In my opinion, Wicked was a pretty badly written book.

Also, the woman that wrote the Arthas book (A world of warcraft based book) has a pretty horrible writing style.

Marlene Slade (marlenekslade) | 5 comments Mirror Mirror by Gregory Maguire was horrible.

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
I haven't heard of it. Why is it bad?

message 15: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Slade (marlenekslade) | 5 comments Hi Aviva. This is just my opinion regarding Mirror Mirror. My personal view is - if someone is going to borrow from or attempt to remake a classic story then they should do it well. I feel that this retelling of Snow White didn't achieve that status in the slightest.

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
Hmm. Well, I won't read it. Too many other good things out there. Too many things on my list!

message 17: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Slade (marlenekslade) | 5 comments If someone passes you a copy you might want to read a chapter or two and see if appeals to you, but I wouldn't recommend wasting your money and buying it. Like you said there are to many other good reads out there that are better worth your time.

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
Yeah, maybe I could start it.

message 19: by Lacey (new)

Lacey | 10 comments Steve Eriksons Mazalan of the fallen series! Worst books ever next to Breaking Dawn by Stephine Meyer.

message 20: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) I read one of holly blacks books a couple of years ago it wasn't really my type of book either... And I have to agree about the twilight thing though I did like the host.

message 21: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) Lol, true to that. For a book to be well written for me, it needs a good plot line and character development.

message 22: by Aviva (new)

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
who is holly black?

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
I don't love it, I hate the movie, but the books are good. The Host is better

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod
Okay. I agree with a lot of those. I should be a hater. But I especially agree that there is NO FREAKING WAY TWILIGHT IS BETTER THAN HARRY POTTER!!!
those real quotes are really sad. I assure you that any liking I had for those books is not like that, just liking it as a book. The Jacob vs. Edward is idiotic. Edward is a freaking vampire. Why would you choose him? Because he's 'awesome'? Don't think so.
Some people read these books over and over again. For me, I don't have enough time to reread books I like.

message 28: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) Wow, Harry Potter is so much better than twilight, definatly. What I hate more than the book are the people that are obsesed with them.

message 29: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) Lolz

message 30: by Aviva (new)

Aviva (newtimelord) | 434 comments Mod

Corazon (corazonsliterature) Please, please no discussions about Twilight... eeeewwwww...
my skin is revolting with goose bumps and I don't wanna tell what my belly has to say about this series. :-(P
all this lovey dovey shit and sparkling and.... eeewww...

and I hate this part.... the vampires are way over 100 years old and reacting like a 12 year old boy who hits puberty. Didn't they had a life before? Were they frozen in hell or in a convent (since they are virgins after way over 100 years) when they were 13 years old and then after 100 years defrosted so they start as a puberty boy again?

During my life I've read many, many books, but the worst books I've ever read were Twilight.

well, not everyone likes them

message 36: by Michael (last edited Mar 11, 2011 12:35PM) (new)

Michael Barnette | 1 comments Seduced by the Wolf by Terry Spear. The characters are both too stupid to live. Seriously. The guy--Our Alpha Hero--gets tranquilized and then argues that he can drive? Only if he's a moron. The heroine gets--conveniently--shot and then wants to go running off into the woods where cops, hunters and wildlife experts are running around. I won't even get into the fact this author knows not beans about wolves then tries to have her werewolves act like animals half the time, rather than thinking people. And the editing is nothing short of terrible. In a word, this book is putrid.

I've been struggling to read this thing for two weeks and I just can't finish it.
