Anybody get their ARC in the mail yet? Silly me for not begging Karey to let me just pick one up from her, we live in the same county so it would have taken me less than half an hour round-trip to get one, but (assuming she mailed them parcel post as I would have if it were me) my ARC has to travel hundreds of miles on trucks over the course of a week or more (yay Christmas rush) to be processed through the USPS parcel post center in California before it comes all the way back to my house.

I think I'm just freaking my mail carrier out when I stare at her blankly every day as she's walking to my house without my copy.

So I'd love to know what people think as they start getting copies, it looks fabulous.

Yeah I saw you mention they were shipped on Thursday and thought it a bit odd, then once I figured they were being shipped Parcel Post I figured it out (assuming that's what you actually did, sending them Priority would have just been way more expensive). I worked for the Post Office for a couple of years several years ago and my brother still works for them, so I know some of their tricks, like pretty much any Parcel Post package in the Western United States has to check in at their center in California to be counted before it goes anywhere. It's like the time I flew from Salt Lake to Vegas and somehow ended up with a 3-hour layover in Phoenix...

Blast mine still hasn't come yet, but the mailman really messed with me today. I looked outside and saw two big yellow envelopes sticking out of my mailbox and got super excited. Then I went out and discovered... our next Living Scriptures delivery and a bunch of promotional materials from the March of Dimes to put up in my office. Blast!

LOL no worries, it's the Post Office at Christmas, I'm pretty sure packages that never arrive get tossed in the pile with socks that disappear in the dryer.

Karey I'm busy giggling my brains out because my copy finally came! The book looks fabulous and I am going to start reading it all over again as soon as I get back from this dinner I can't get out of tonight :P. And my review's on the back, that makes me giggle even more!! Congratulations!
