((sweet!))Liz looked out the classroom window and sighed. She hated Math. She was more into Geography and World History. Her face changed from zoned out to a confused face as she saw hundreds of birds flying in the direction South. It's springtime though... She thought curiously.
Tayler was in Literature. She loved to read. She was reading about the Mayans and the end of the world. It fascinated her that people actually believed in that stuff. "It's supposed to happen today." She mumbled to herself. "Oh, no!" She snickered, then continued reading.
((Omigoodness, Firestorm. XD Your character has my name. XD At least how it's pronounced.))Jay was hunched over his desk in Math, quickly flipping through his notebook and writing complicated mathematical expressions.

((I could change it if you'd like... ^_^"))
"Ugh. Stupid math." Renae muttered at the teacher passed by. Glancing back at her notebook, she looked up at the sky outside. It was a pinkish hue, and it was only about 11 in the morning. Earlier that morning, it had been almost completely white. The weather was acting up, too, with snow one minute, and sunshine the next.
Liz heard Renae's comment and chuckled softly. She looked outside and it was windy beyond comparison. "Hm... Didn't say there was wind today..." She muttered to herself. She was doodling rather than taking notes. Her paper was filled with daggers, bleeding hearts and things of that nature. It just entertained her to draw those things.
"Here," Jay started explaining what the teacher was teaching (if not more) in complicated and hard-to-understand sentences and equations. Which to him made total sense.
"Er... Right," Jay said, "Sorry." he tried explaining it better, in terms Renae would understand. "Was that better?" he asked.
Liz sighed sadly. Nobody ever helped her. Her notes were filled with doodles and poetry she made. One of them said:Math sucks.
Even though you earn big bucks.
I wish I could take a nap.
Wear my fuzzy sleeping cap.
That was one of Liz's better poems. She wasn't very good but hey, she had gumption.
Jay gasped and covered his head as the building started to shake. The windows rattled and the desks shook.
Liz looked outside. "Oh no..." She breathed out. The whole city was caving in. She looked around. Some kids were screaming. "Need a plan. Need a plan. Need a plan!" She whispered to herself. She ran out of the classroom. The teacher yelled, "COME BACK!"
Her dad knew how to fly a plane so she went straight to him.
"Oh my go6," Jay said quietly, his eyes wide as he stared at the devastating scene outside the window. The whole class (and the school, it seemed) were charging outside with him and he battled to get through the halls in the throng of people.
Tayler jumped out the window into the pit. Holding onto the side of the building. Bricks stared falling past her as she climbed up. "This is not happening. I fell asleep in class."
Ray sat in her seat, looking out the window. the sky was pitch black, as the electricity slowly sparked, and then went out. Someone screamed, and Ray joined the mad throng running away.
Jay ran for the field where the football team practiced. It was big and open, and nothing could fall on him there.
Fighting her way through the crowds, mostly with the help of her elbows, she reached the football field. Only one other person was there, and she quickly ran up to him, recognizing the 'whiz kid,' from Math. "What's happening?" She asked, with a bewildered glance at the dark sky.
Tayler lifted herself up on the school. She looked out over the town. Her doomsday book in her pocket. She opened it to the first step. She read:"'The first sign of the end of the world, is the mysterious colors in the sky.' Check. 'The second sign id animal reactions.' The fish in class were swimming histaricly. Check. 'The third is the ground giving out.' Check. 'The next sign is fire starting from dry weather.' Um... nope. Got to get a fire extinguisher!" She ran off to the other side and jumped, landing next to Liz. "Hi. Do you have a fire extinguisher?"
((A parachute? XD No offense, but he's got a parachute??))"I have no idea," Jay answered, lifting his headd up to the sky, black with storm clouds and smoke. The air was thick and it was hard to breathe.
Renae looked around. "I think we're in the middle of a large piece of kindling," She said, gesturing to the dry turf of the football field.
((OH! Sorry! I was thining about the whole Kylie/Jordan thing. And I'm on the chat room, GIMP, writing that short story, and PJ, as well as ourWorld and babydow. o.O ))
((You're crazy, Cal.))"Away," Jay said. "We have to get away. At this rate, the smoke could fill our lungs in a little over an hour."
((Welll....You just found out? You're laughing at me because you think I'm crazy. And I'm...))"Okay..." Ray said, thinking about it. "An hour? C'mon, we can go to the old gym-- it has a basement, remember?"
Ray walked over, and gently examined his ankle, tucking a stray lock of dirty blonde hair behind one ear. "I'm pretty sure it's broken." She said, a worried look on her face. "My dad's a doctor." She said as a way of explination to Jay.
Tayler saw them run in. She ran after them. "Where's the nearest fire extinguisher?" She recognized Jay from Social Studies. "Hey, Jay!"
((She was reading one and read the signs of the end of the world. One sign was things catching on fire... she wants a fire extinguisher. Post 28))
((Ahh))Jay flipped through the pages. "Right," he said, eyes wide as he read the passage. "Fire extinguishers... down the hall." He strode down the hall and broke the glass of the fire extinguisher box. He pulled it out and handed it to Tayler. "If I catch on fire, make sure not to get it on my face."
"I'll try," She joked. "unless it's on your face." The fires started outside. "Got to be a firefighter now. Tell me the next step so I'll be prepared."
Aeria had managed to get away from the earthquake as she was flying back home from a trip to Texas. She walked around, looking at the wreckage and the ground started shaking again, she took off running and came to find herself ion a field. She saw smoke in the distance adn walked ove rlooking for help."Hello?" She called out/
((Ummm))"You will need to develop hunting and foraging skills," Jay read. He turned to Tayler. "Are you serious? You think this is the end of the world?"
"No, but I read the signs. I've seen them all so far." She remember the fish, ground, sky, and now the fires. "Why do I need hunting and foraging skills?"
Aeria jumped at the sound of her name, and grabbed the pocket knife she always carried with her."Oh! Trent!" She sighed in relief as she let go of it. "What's happening? I come home and L.A is in Ruins!" She frowned.
Jay shrugged. "You tell me. Oh, wait," he said, finding something on the page. "'...You will need these valuable skills for the new world once it has ended. If you survive,'" he read. "What kind of twisted pessimist wrote this?" he said, glancing at the cover.
