never heard of google notebook, i use ancestry.com.

I haven't read the book (yet) but I can say this ... didn't know about Google Notebook, but do know/use Google Keep. I also use a couple Chrome extensions for Google Keep on my laptop.

I don't use the app very much since I WFH, but pre-pandemic I used Google Keep for work - loved how easily I could move content to G drive.

As for free genealogical info - there is TONS of easily available and accessible FREE genealogical info:
