Have you ever caught yourself adopting a character's catch phrase into your own language? Ever muttered Jenks' "Tink's Pink Titties" when frustrated? What about Harry Dresden's "Hell's Bells" when things don't go as planned?

If you haven't muttered a character's (in)famous catch phrase - which ones are the most memorable TV or book Catch Phrases?

"Oh Hell" is a phrase I've picked up from my Grandmother. It makes me smile everytime I say it because I picture one of my childhood memories. It was easy for my "Oh Hell" to slip into "Hells Bells" while reading The Dresden Files. I'll say it without even realizing and then laugh out loud.

I love Jenks' cursing but it's never been incorporated into my own speech :)

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I don't let this one slip, but a catch phrase I always found amusing, more so in the movies than in the books was in Harry Potter when someone (usually a Weasley) lets slip... "Merlin's Beard!!" lol

Chichipio When I started reading The Dresden Files I actually thought "Hell's bells" was kind of lame. Then I got the audiobooks and somehow, the way that Marsters says it made it sound way cooler. So much that it slips once in a while if I happen to be listening to the audiobooks again during that week.

Jenks' phrases are hilarious and some of them incredibly creative, but there are so many combinations that I've never found myself with one of them branded in my brain. Rachel's "crap on toast" however is another story. It surfaces in my mind every time I'm facing a silly problem. "Hmmm... We've run out of milk... well, crap on toast." :)

LOL! I forgot about that one. Harrison comes up with some good lines.

If there is a character that happens to say "damn" or "damnit" a lot then yes I do, I'm sure I say that atleast fifty times a day...

Didn't know that. Hmmm... but just to be sure, you don't happen to live in a church and play with cauldrons in the kitchen, do you? :P

Jessica | 66 comments hubby read the Kim Harrison books before I did, so he thinks its hillarious. Thankfully I've only done that at home. I can only imagine the looks I'd get from that in public. I live in Nebraska. I'd probably give some conseravgtive blue hair heart palpitations.
