Nevermore Summary as reported on Fantastic Fiction:

Bobby Godric quit school, built a tech empire from scratch, and became a multibillionaire by the age of thirty-two. Tireless, inventive, and skilled at surrounding himself with brilliant minds, it seems there is nothing he can't do-except save his beloved wife, Nora, from brain cancer. But Bobby will not allow even death to stand between him and his one true love. And if there's no way on this Earth to bring her back, he'll find another Earth.

Devoting his vast fortune and an extraordinary team of scientists and visionaries to the task, Bobby finds the holy grail he so desperately seeks: proof that infinite parallel worlds exist in other dimensions-and the means to reach them. But his sideways journey through time-to mirror Earths where history and fate have taken shockingly different turns-is fraught with danger. A single misstep could leave the intrepid interdimensional traveler and his team hopelessly stranded on a parallel Earth subjugated by dictatorship, ravaged by barbarism, or worse. Every leap between alternate realities is a life-or-death gambit. But rescuing his lost love from a world where destiny has not doomed her is all that matters to Bobby Godric-until he encounters a monstrous alien race systematically annihilating humankind and claiming planet Earth, again and again, on a murderous march of conquest across the dimensions. Unless the multiverse of duplicate Earths can be rallied against the invaders, the next world to fall will be our own.

Conceived by New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz and adapted and illustrated by a duo of Marvel and DC Comics veterans-writer Keith Champagne and artist Andy Smith-Nevermore is a marvelous flight into breathless suspense, mind-bending imagination, and chilling terror not to be missed.

I thought it was actually published in March of 2009 and then it was impossible to find. Was it actually published last year?

Jackie (thelastwolf) Dammit! It sounds intriguing, I would have liked to read it.

Now it's being listed on Fantastic Fiction again - to be published in December 2010 - weird.

message 9: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) That's good. But now I can complain about having to wait so long, LOL

I don't know why the graphic novels are so hard to find. My library is still having trouble getting the Fear Nothing Graphic Novel. btw, did you notice there is a new Odd Graphic Novel coming out?

Jackie (thelastwolf) Maybe they don't feel they'll have a large call for them so don't buy them. Lots of people like to look down on them, don't consider them 'real' books. Graphic novels and comicbooks are still considered predominantly for males and that alone can hinder a library's willingness to purchase them. I don't know any women, personally, who read them, except myself. I'm a Marvel fan for 35+ years. But I'm not typical of my gender in many ways.
Graphic novels are gaining in popularity so we can only hope they'll hit the libraries soon.
Yes, I knew there was an Odd Graphic Novel, In Odd We Trust. Is there more?

My library is willing to purchase graphic novels but whenever they try to order Dean's they are not readily available. I'll post more about the new Odd Thomas Graphic Novel in the In Odd We Trust thread :-)

Jackie (thelastwolf) That's strange, not being available. Where are they trying to buy them from?

I don't really know. I know for some reason they couldn't buy "The Book of Counted Sorrows" when it was available from Dean's website for $30. They have to do a purchase order. I think they do purchase from Amazon though. I just know the Fear Nothing graphic novel has been on order since December and they told me they've had a a hard time getting Dean's graphic novels in the past.

Does this remind anyone else of the Sliders series from the 1990s? :-|

Jaice Cooperrider (plasborgma) | 1299 comments This story sounds good, but not enough to get me to read a graphic novel, as I just can't stand the format. I'd enjoy hearing what happens though from someone who does read it. :-)
