I really enjoyed her in Girl Interuppted. She played psycho well. Sad to see another go so young.
Did they ever find out what happened to her? I read where she was having flu-like symptoms previous to her collapsing. That is very sad. She was a good actor.
I liked her role in Uptown Girls which I haven't seen anyone mention yet. She is going to be missed!
Well, they say cardiac arrest in the shower. Boyfriend asked them NOT to do an autopsy, but the corener is going to do one anyway, so there are rumors that it may be drug related.
I got this from an article I read on Fandango, of all places!

There have been rumors of Murphy's drug abuse prior to her death as well, and I'm also afraid the rumors of her death being drug-related might be true. I saw her boyfriend made an announcement, and honestly all of what the article said he said made him sound like a jerk.Oh well, not my place to judge, but still.
When I found out she died from a "full cardiac arrest" I immediately thought, "Eating disorder."If it WAS drugs, at least it wasn't like we were all waiting around for her to die, like we do for other celebrities who are addicted to drugs.
I've heard she's really good in The Ramen Girl, but I haven't watched it yet.
Brittany: I'm tempted to say "It's Hollywood" because a lot of actresses struggle with eating disorders and/or their weight.Oh, and I watched The Ramen Girl. It was a cute movie, and good for the Holiday season because there is a Christmas scene.
Abigail, I watched her in DEADLINE (Thora Birch is in it too) on Saturday night and heard the news Sunday morning. That was a little disconcerting. (Btw, the movie DEADLINE was not that great...)
RIP Brittany Murphy. She was a good actress.Robbin wrote: "No matter how she died she will be missed.Who will do the voice of Leanne on King of the Hill now?"
She was great on King of the Hill, but they don't need to replace her because King of the Hill was cancelled this year.
@ El: I had gotten it into my to watch Clueless last week too, but I never did. And it's odd how that happens sometimes, isn't it? Last time it happened to me I watched the cut scenes of Donnie Darko and the next day Mr. Rogers was dead. It is kind of a weird feeling.
Too true, Abigail. My sister Tessa watched Uptown Girls two days before. Oh well, I suppose we see hundreds of celebs every week on the TV and in films and they don't die, but it does make you feel a bit wierd.

She got her start in the movie Clueless but had gone on to some interesting roles. Her performance in Don't Say a Word has always followed me.
