I have several things I can say on this topic, but I will let someone else start, so take it away.

Exactly what it says, Switching to alternative fuels by year 2040

What is alternative fuels????????

Wind, solar, water energy.

I personally love the idea. My home state is already converting to wind energy. If I drive through the countryside, I see hundreds, maybe thousands of wind to energy converters.

alternative fuels...not Oil NOT petrolum...renewable, stuff the earth wont run out of as fast as where consuming them, or is good on the environment

First time I saw them, I started freaking out. I was in the car with my dad and was all like,
"DUDE!!! WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?!?"

I love the idea. There probably wouldn't be as much harm to the Earth.

I liked the idea of wind and solar energy at first... then I thought about it. We, as humans, are continually growing as a population and we need all the space this world has to offer... That means what this world REALLY needs is some sort of alternative fuel without the space needed.... The wind and solar things take up alot of space.... However, I do think solar would be a good idea as long as there aren't fields of the panels taking up growing space for other resources like organic foods and such. So possibly solar would be the best option if they were ontop of the buildings that already take up space on the world, then you wouldn't waste precious space. If we go handing out properties to solar and wind energy plants... We'll have little space left for the HOUSES... that would cause us to look like japan where everything is full of smog and bad stuff like that. The sky as dark as... smog... and I think that would be bad... So many claustrophobics forced to be shut-ins....

In conclusion, solar energy sources should be ontop of houses and wind energy is a wasteful idea unless you could find a way to make them more efficient.

True BUT the population is expanding quickly the most it has since the beginning of human life. It needs to stop. Also we have alot of our room in our houses. We dont need that much room. Go to www.earthday.net scroll down. Click on "measure your ecological footprint" if you take the quiz it will tell you things that may shock you. If everyone lived like me it would take 5.9 Earths, but most people in my sceince class where 5-7 and that's alot of Earth's we only have one. Also We have smog heere in the U.S some you can see some you can't. We need to stop populating because soon we'll have no where to go. ((and I have to go))

mostly the populations of third world countries are the problem because they have children so that the kids can work and bring in money for the family.

yeah but also they live in smaller spaces. But as in america we have lots of roomm for a fewer amount of ppl.
