Chester | 10 comments If you want to get your name out there (and the title of your book), it's always good to court the media. After several emails and phone calls, I got the guy who handles the Sunday book section for The (Nashville) Tennessean to feature me in an interview. It ran a couple of weeks prior to two book signings. The first was last Saturday.

In Sunday's paper, in the section with short paragraphs on upcoming book events, he ran my picture again with a bold paragraph beneath it about the second signing coming up Friday night. It probably helped that I'm a former newspaper reporter, though that was so long ago I doubt that he had been born yet.
