Anna Walls (annalwalls) I think the mind reading is through Safera. Perhaps the magic is different for different dragons. (Sorry, it's been a while and I only have the first 2). Also, in some books like this, things evolve and not all threads of said evolution were cleaned up. Chalk it up to Brom not having a dragon anymore.

Anna Walls (annalwalls) You're right - I forgot that part. (sorry) But it does take some effort as I recall

message 34: by Anna (new)

Anna Walls (annalwalls) It's been taken over by Avatar, which, by the way, I hear is great

message 35: by Casey (new)

Casey Yes, but I've heard that the plotline is predictable.

message 36: by Anna (new)

Anna Walls (annalwalls) So what if it's predictable. That only means it's logical and believable.

Casey *shrugs*

I saw it earlier today. It was AWESOME. Like, absolutely incredible. Yes, the plotline is rather cliche, but it was very good nonetheless.

When I first saw previews for it, I thought it was incredibly weird and I didn't really want to see it. But then everyone who saw it told me how amazing it was, and they were right. ^^;

before eragon was thought to mind read he was also thought to block. a person can feel if he is being mind read.

message 43: by Anna (new)

Anna Walls (annalwalls) The reading of minds is part of the magic and a learned skill. Like calling 'brisinger' and causing a fire, Eregon had to learn the right words and make them work the way he wanted. Once learned, it becomes easier but it's still the magic. Now, the blocking may not be, else it's wouldn't be so hard all the time.

message 44: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments The only character in the book i found fond in mind reading are the Twins. I'm glad they are dead but I think they should have suffer more. *evil grin)*

message 45: by Anna (new)

Anna Walls (annalwalls) Are they dead? Where's the bodies?

message 46: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments They are dead... Yeah... I think so... *sweat*

(closes eyes, plugs ears "I'm in a happy place, I'm in a happy place....")

message 47: by Anna (new)

Anna Walls (annalwalls) I have my doubts but then I've only read the first two.

message 48: by Anna (new)

Anna Walls (annalwalls) I'm sure it's like eavesdropping. You can't feel when someone is eavesdropping on you can you? escept for maybe the small hairs on your neck standing up, I mean. Also, you have to figure the dragon in. Brom had been without his dragon for a very long time, while Eragon still had his.
