I see Brett is planning to read this book. I highly recommend it! It is full of whit and wisdom for women of all ages and at all stages of life. I found it very encouraging, supportive, and nurturing. It is rare to find a "tell all" book that also inspires! Every other paragraph of my copy has at least one underlined quote! I think every woman should read this.

This book is for women - it elevates the term "chick lit". I read it once. I need to reread it. There are so many 'hmmm' moments you need to read slowly and meditate on it. Find one thought at a time to support you.
This book has become required reading on my annual beach trip. Believe it or not, I have derived something new each and every time! Depends on your state of life experiences, I suppose. I to have given many copies to my friends as gifts!
I also have read Gift from the Sea more than once and each time I pulled it out it would be refreshing anew. Like Erika I have given copies to family. Timeless and I highly recommend it.
This book is a keeper, and off topic...I love Goodreads because I get reminded to revisit old favorites. If you like this I recommend "Room Four" by AJ Knauss, also a very sweet story of mortality...the grumpy old man has a tough exterior, as do the staff in the ER but there is a lot of kindness underneath.
This is an excellent book, and one that I have read over and over, given to friends, and highly recommend for all women who are searching for peace within themselves. It is definitely timeless and a permanent book in my library.
Spiritual Journey for every woman. Certainly Anne Lindbergh had highs as she flew with her famous husband and lows when her son was abducted and murdered. Her thoughtful reflections touch any woman's heart who longs to find peace and healing. Wise woman, crone she speaks beautifully about spiritual things. I too give copies of this book to my friends.
This book is a gentle but powerful reminder of women's needs. My aunt gave it to me years ago. I'll give it to my children ...it's a generational read...
