Hi Malin! 100 words a day? You can do that. Remember, they don't have to be good words - just words.Welcome to the group.

Thanks :) I'm allergic against not-good words though. I'll see if I can find some anti-histamine for that. Got any suggestions?
Hi Malin! I'm Brigid … just kind of going around saying hi to everybody, since I have nothing to do. :D heehee. good luck with your word goal!
♥ Brigid ♥ wrote: "Hi Malin! I'm Brigid … just kind of going around saying hi to everybody, since I have nothing to do. :D heehee. good luck with your word goal! "*lol* I almost did the same the other day and then felt too shy! Hello back at you!
Added goal:Edit at least 1 chapter a week of Wizardbiker until edit #2 (proofreading) is done.
I'm now on chapter 4, realising (or realizing as I'm trying to write American English in this novel) that if I just add my thoughts, doubts and ideas of changes in Word comments, my job goes much faster and smoother. I'm also thinking, I might be able to add some sympathy to Kestrel (his familiar) without as much effort as I thought!
Anyway, waiting until 1 of January to really start with my goals but am editing away. I'm bored and people are so little online during the holidays.

WHOA! Malin, guess what? Your first name is my last name! That is SO weird! Lol, sorry. I'm Sella, by the way. Hi! :D
Sella wrote: "WHOA! Malin, guess what? Your first name is my last name! That is SO weird! Lol, sorry. I'm Sella, by the way. Hi! :D"Really? How cool. Wonder if we pronounce it the same... Where are you from? Because none of the countries I have visited have ever understood what I'm called (usually I'm either Molly, Marlin, or Maline).
Oo, btw, I edited 2 chapters yesterday. Sad part? I'm too lazy to check how many chapters I got left...

I pronounce it Muh-lin. It's funny, though, because each of my family members pronounce it differently. My sister pronounces it Mah-lin, my mom pronounces it Maaa-lin, and my dad pronounces it May-lin. Haha! Oh, and my parents are from Israel.

I always thought it was May-lin before you pronounced it for me. lol XD
I think I pronounce my name like your sister :) It's always difficult to spell out pronounciation. Does it mean anything in particular in... uhm... Hebrew? I know there are several languages spoken in Isreal but I'm guessing Hebrew anyway. In Sweden it's a derivative (nickname) sprung from Magadalena (woman from Magdala).
♥ Brigid ♥ wrote: "Ooh … Magadalena. that's cool :D"Magdalena... An extra A crept into the name without me noticing. MagAdalena sounds cool though, I might use that one day.

I speak it fluently. :) And yes, that's the language spoken in Israel.
Magdalena is an awesome name!
1st of January 2010 = 165 words The notes of the pipes flew and fell, rose and swirled in the late summer heat. It laced its way around sacks of barley, armfuls of hay, clay pots of honey, bread as hard baked as the road the piper and his ducks walked. It stirred fragrances and smelled, whipped dust from pale colours and made them sparkle. It caressed tired eyes and bruised knees.
A goat grazing on a roof looked up, chewing slowly and munched grass trickling down its magnificent beard. The new-born in the last house quieted in his mother’s embrace. People began to move anew; drawing closer to this ridiculous view. Walking towards the sound of summer and joy and high mountains and open seas. Seas no one in the village had seen and few had heard of. A village of hills and grass, it new little about the salt of air and the breathlessness of naked mountains stretching for the stars. But they heard, and they felt and they wondered.

Why thank you. XD It's cool that you speak Spanish fluently. Heehee. :D

I don't really speak Spanish fluently … lol. I'm working on it, though. ;)
Today, I've done nothing and I'm distracted by that Star Trek film with them as young but I'll write those 100 words as soon as I'm done!
I don't know anything about the real Star Trek series, so I found it fun but over the top. I loved Kirk, and the Evil Dude Nero. And that pointy green thing that tagged along with Scotty.
Paul wrote: "Pointy green thing - oh yes. Not Spock, but the mechanic guy -thing - whatever."Exactly :D No green-blooded hobgoblin ;) Btw, the extras are awesome. I love watching how they did all the effects.
138 words, in Swedish this time. Short story in first person POV where it must be obvious that the narrator can't understand or can't relate an important aspect of what's going on. It's for school - I'm going for a guy with a gambling addiction that doesn't realise he got a problem. Read an awesome short story a few months ago with a guy who was an alcoholist without realising it and I know I can't do anything even close to that good, but I got to write a story so I will.
Done with editing chapter 8 of Wizardbiker, but no writing yet. Feel a bit bleh today too. I have, however, done a lot of story thinking and story planning.
Good luck with your novel, I'm just stopping by saying hi and good luck to everyone in 2010! I'm TOLI (taleoflostink) So....GOOD LUCK
*pacing along the four empty walls of her safe room, thinking the world is nothing without interaction*
5 days into the new year and I'm already failing. I didn't write anything yesterday, definitely doesn't want to write now and got so miserable stuck on the edit that even though I fixed the problem somewhat, I don't want to look at the story again.
I need to have a short story done by the 11th and I'm totally blocked. I'm glad I can still edit but that won't help me with my course work (ie writing the story). :(
Paul wrote: "Want any help? Cues or plot progression or something?"Can you get me friends or a job or something, it would work wonders :) I'm afraid it's "just" depression hitting me again. Nothing specific to the story, just me feeling like everything is pointless, that I'm untalented, etc etc
Thanks for the offer!
Can't write, and just fell into a plot hole the size of Sweden so can't edit either.Did I ever mention I hate writing? And I hate I can't live without it.
Malin, It's not your fault! January in the Northern Hemisphere is not an easy month. "Daylight" is practically a memory. If we blink, it's gone.
Hang on kid, the days will get longer and we'll all feel more energetic.

I so don't believe in that theory... I've heard lots of people saying it but I don't think it's true, not for me at least. I'm just generally loopy, and I've been feeling rather shitty the last year so it doesn't quite apply.
But thanks for the cheering :) Always nice knowing someone notices me.

As I'm a bit cowardly , I'll set a goal of writing 100 words a day. Fiction, but either prose or poetry, and on any story/poem.
