Andrew | 3 comments Hello all! I'm a writer/photographer specializing in tropical subject matter. Recently published a novel set in the Florida Keys. I'm working on my second book and would love to post portions as I go for feedback. I'm looking forward to hearing from you all and reading your work!

Andy

Arthur | 15 comments Say . . . (I’m actually struggling with a story book of fiction short stories, I enjoy to read and also write, because . . .) the major main characters of my favorite story I write originate from Florida state (in one of the popular cities). But I enjoy the state. How’d someone learn from just using the um like the internet and know more about it? Yeah, ( my mom once said to describe her traveling is how she’d gone from here all the way to the Florida keys ) ON, Canada.

Andrew | 3 comments Hey Arthur!

Sorry this took so long to reply...I've been traveling for a good portion of the month. I chose Florida as a setting for my book because I've spent so much time there. I think it would be hard to accurately write a place that I wasn't very familiar with. I know other authors can pull it off but not me! For the historical descriptions of the Keys I poured through historical society literature including pictures. I found that by looking at a photograph from the 1930s I could describe my setting better.

Arthur | 15 comments Yes thanks Andy, I'm very ... very excited about writing a first book. And know I don't usually and can't usually get out of town often (Season holidays)... But I also study and read and can think I fall behind in the times. What's I liked 10 years ago is a moving attraction. Maybe none of it matters though. Let's laugh about it after my biggy...

Would you read outside or inside Open Mic: Jacksonville? That’s something I’m going to pick-up.
