This series is frightening. I haven't started it because it has way too many books. What do you think about it?

Unapologetic_Bookaholic If I had read Fantasy Lover first I am not sure what I would have thought about the tone of the series. I read somewhere that The Dream-Hunter was Book #1 and absolutely loved Arik and the concept of The Dream-Hunter. Consequently the other Dream-Hunter novels in the series are passable =D

What got me was someone said if you don't mind a lot of Greek myth influenced characters/world, then you'll love DH's. Since the movie Clash of the Titans I think any type of Greek fiction has been fun to see/read about.

That aside the Dark Hunters continue to be the incomparably best PNR series I have ever read, because there aren't any I have read with that theme and enjoyed as immensely. Though some come close. Like Night Huntress and Demonica =D

hmm I have been hearing that alot about this series. I also heard you can skip Fantasy Lover. I may start with Night Pleasures sometime next month.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Fantasy Lover isn't about the Dark Hunters. Julian isn't a Dark Hunter but he does shown up in later novels from time to time. If you can get a hold of the novellas those are great to read as well.SK Offers a free read on her website. You'll have to get where it falls in the reading order.

Heather | 8 comments I would have been totally lost and wondering who Julian was the whole time if I had skipped fantasy lover. He is in to many of the books to skip it, probably at least 10 of them. I am currently reading the last book in the series and believe me once you start reading them you can't stop!!!! I wouldn't suggest skipping around to much or you will be lost, because there is so much to this story to remember in order much less reading them out of order.
