I noticed you added my book "The Crown Conspiracy" to your "to read" list. First off, thank you for that. I've been floored with the response to my first novel and glad that so many people are finding it enjoyable.
There's good news and bad news and more good news about Crown. First the good news, after just 14 months I sold out the first print run. Most authors don't earn out their advance, let alone sell out their first printing, so I of course am thrilled by this.
The bad news is...all the usual venues for getting the book: Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, BooksaMillion, Powells, Book Depository, Abebooks, etc. , are out of stock waiting for a second printing. The publisher can't yet give me a date but it will be but could be as late as March 2010 and certainly not before late January.
Now the good news, awhile back a bought a few hundred books with my author's discount to have on hand "just in case". As I'm the only source to get the books at the moment I made a page where people can buy directly from me with credit card or electronic check. I can't offer the same discounts as Amazon (currently 28%) because my author's discount isn't as low as what they buy at. But I can offer signed copies at 15% off from this link here. I also put my other two books on that page at the same discount in case people want to get signed copies of the other books in the series that have been released so far.
If you want to read my Christmasy blog (based on "It's a Wonderful Life") on selling out my first book you can read it here.
If you’re not sure whether you should buy Crown the page I mentioned has a link on it where you can read sample chapters for free (first 59 pages) and there is also a link to reviews (38 from book review blogs) (165 from sites like Amazon & Goodreads - Over all I have 277 ratings (59-Amazon, 189-Goodreads, 29-Misc Sites) with an average of 4.0/5.0). Again, thanks for adding my book to your TBR list. If you are anything like me the list is a long one but I hope you will take a chance on a new author from a small press. And if you do, please post a few comments on Amazon or GoodReads to let me know what you think (good, bad, or indifferent).
