I'll be reading my friend, Cheralyn Lambeth's book, Haunted Theaters of the Carolinas, soon as done with that Stephen King monster of a book, Under the Dome (it's a library book and due back soon). Get her to sign it at Marscon, too. :)
Pam, I'm reading your book Haunted Richmond, Virginia right now! I was born and raised in Richmond so I'm already familiar with some of the stories, such as the ones surrounding Hollywood Cemetery--a favorite "haunt" (excuse the pun) of myself and my friends in younger days. I also lived within 2 blocks of Reveille as a child and we used to play on the church grounds regularly and tiptoe around the outside of the house, whispering about the ghosts. For some reason we had it in our heads that "the ghost" was a "Musketeer", and pictured a gentleman of the Restoration era with a large plumed hat and long curly hair. I also recall tales of a young ghostly bride. We never saw a thing, unfortunately.Anyway I am very much enjoying your book! It brings back a lot of memories and I am learning some new things as well.
May I suggest The Everything Ghost Hunting Book? If you're interested in the paranormal as well as ghosts, it does have quite a bit of background info.I may be prejudiced (I am the author) but think it is a pretty good read.
