True, I generally edit as I go(and then again when I finish) and didn't do that during nano, now I have to do all of it.
Madeline wrote: "i sympathy with you my friend, my 08 nano is also looming in a dark cloud over my head :)"Ugh. Me too, me too.
Brigid, Good luck with yours as wellFyopiagdt, I don't think there's any worries there, everyone going to do this different.
Magdelina, I've met my goal 3 day in a row, which is a start, and I have a total of 1,135 words written.
Magdelina wrote: "That's awesome! I think I'm around that word count too! Yay!I use too many exclamation points."
I agree Magdelina! I use them WAY to much also! =0)
Good luck with your goals Kairaraine!
This Week's Update: Did I make it?Monday: yes
Tuesday: yes
Wednesday: yes
Thursday: No
Friday: No
Saturday: no
Sunday: Yes
Total Word count: 2133 words
I signed up for a prompt set, and have posted twice for runaway tales.
I've worked on World-building for my story as well.
As a side note: I kept forgetting about this because it's so new, I need to make myself a reminder each day.

January/February: 100 words/day
March/April: 200 words/day
May/June: 250 words/day
July/August: 300 words/day
September/October: 400 words/day
November/December: 500 words/day
+ one day a month, sit down and write 2,500 words.
This is so that I can get used to writing everyday, and then steadily increase my wordcount:
What counts: Original Stories/Poems, essays for school, blog posts that have meaning, etc.
Doesn't Count: Fanfiction(for the sole reason that I've been focusing too much on fanfiction (essays about books/characters do count)
Other Writing goals(that tie into the above:
--Sign up for runaway tales and get at least one prompt set done(This is from livejournal)
--write something longer than my Nano novel(over 50,367 words
--15 short stories and/or poems
--World Building/Conlang for my story
--Kavon Story
--Kenneth Story
--Edit my nano 08 novel(I tried Nano 09, but got busy with school)
I hope the list isn't too long, but those are just things I've been wanting to accomplish, and so I added them to my new years goals.
