I was in 6th grade when i started reading. "happy potter" Was the first books that i started reading and i havent stoped sience.
so tell me what got you started reading?

The first book i read was twilight because all my friend were talking about how awesome and cool the book was and now i cant keep my nose out of books.

My first book that made me fall in love with reading was the Thief Lord!

I started the same way as Michi. Sixth grade, Harry Potter books. I haven't stopped :)

When I was a little kid. Dr. Seuss made reading fun and my school encouraged it and we always Dr. Seuss day which we would read a Dr. Seuss book.

A family member gave me the whole set of Dr Seuss books when I was in elementary school and I've been a read-a-holic ever since. After that I wanted to read everything from cereal boxes to signs on the side of the road. lol What a strange kid.

Books are my television. Since I was four or five I began to read, never really stopped after that. By sixth grade I could read high school level books and right now I read adult fiction. But I'm a fantasy geek.

i saw the collection of Seuss books. but I didn't get it. It wasn't even all of the books. It was for beginners and stuff.

Well, ya know I was probably around six and didn't know the difference at the time. And that would've made me somewhat of a beginner. I guess it was appropriate! :D

2005 my friend begged me to read twilight book and after that i read more vampire book that her and she being reading books as long as i can remember
is not just fiction i like all book type crime, mestery, romance but my fav is pranormal fiction

uh...i didnt even hd a choice cause my parents love 2 read so...I was doomed pretty much since i was born

lol thats how ima have my lil kids. i want them to read.
my lil neice is 2. and shes always picking up my books and acting like shes reading.

I've loved reading ever since I can remember (which my family thinks is weird because none of them like to read XD )... My mom says I used to love Beauty and the Beast just because Belle loved to read. When I was younger I used to read little kid books but I've always had a really high reading level for my age and I got really really into reading in elementary school... lol XD

I honestly can't remember what got me into reading. I've loved to read for as long as I can remember, although I've never been great at reading and I'm a fairly slow reader. I guess that it started out with reading story books when I was really little, I read them all the time and my favourites I would read so much that I could have resited every word of the book without even opening it. So I guess that I've just always loved to read.

i don't know how i started 2 read. i just read anything that seems intersting.

I always loved to read, but I really got hooked in college. There was a room in our library that was just for personal reading. NO TEXTBOOKS ALLOWED. There were so many wonderful books in there, books I only heard about and books I always wanted to read. It was paradise.

Yeah! My major had me reading a ton of novels, so I would sneak in there because it had the big cozy chairs. I would tell myself if I finished the required novel I could read one of the books in there. But wouldn't you know it, a semester or two later the non-required book would be assigned. I would be ahead of game so I would pick another book... then guess what would happen the next semester. LOL! it went on and on like that. It was fun!

But what I really loved was getting a stack pass... I got to go into the underground stacks of DOE and that was heaven. I once found a first addition Rudyard Kipling Jungle Book... I spent a whole rainy day in there reading it. When I came out my room mate told me I smelled like mothballs... It is one of my fondest memories from school.

that's awesome! u being ahead of the game! if i could read that fast than maybe i would be just like u. lol

i would kill to have that privete moments to read and that cozy chair.lol

I started reading 2 years ago (at age 25) it was the sisterhood of the traveling pants that got me hooked. I went back and read some of the classics I go back and forth I can't believe what I had been missing

I love anything fantasy or romantic or adventurous!

And I've been reading since I was one year old.

lol i was 13 i think when i started reading. my mom kept dragin me every wheres and i never had time to learn how to read at that age. ((i failed kindergarden twice. and 5th grade twice.)) when i was in 6th grade thats when i started reading. i tought myself how to read. i finally got to sit down and read when i lived with my grandmother.
one day. i sat down infront of her and i cryed. i told her i hated living with my mother and i asked her if she can take me away. so.. well wen i was 15 my grandmother adopted me.

that's a touching story! lol

wow thats exactly like i was i could recite lots of my fave stories word for word no problem i can still recite a couple of em sadly *laughs*

ahaha thats like me, I reread the first chapter of the first Harry Potter book so manytimes, that I had the whole first page memorized :P And it's the same with music for me, I can listen to a song once and know most of the lyrics.

yaa. i had a hard life. i never left my grandmother. if it wasnt for her. i would be dead.
she looks at me all the time reading, i think she rethers me reading then getting into all sorts of trouble. she tought me right.

she is the granmother i wish i knew, mine died before i get to know her,
your gran is really good person, there arnt many that would take a teenager.

well; I started to read in 6th grade, my first book was Twilight and now I just can't stop reading.I read everything that catches my attention.

yaa i no. i love my grandmother with all my messed up heart. she took care of me sience i was born basicly. we slept in the same bed and everything. ((i still do lol)) shes REALLY protective. enything i wanted i would get. She fed me off her cheak when my dad didnt give a crap about it. shes my angel :]]

i guess my parents got me hooked on reading coz they read to me when i was little? and yeah. i just started to LOVE reading, and now it's one of my fav. things to do, along w/ writing.

One day i was really bored, so i picked up a book. Then..... I got hooked. I keep record of every book i read and my room is a library. I really love reading... and music, writing...

i think i sort of fell in love with reading in 3rd grade because i got points for it. than i kindof drifted away. than in 6th grade i noticed how one of my friends read WAYYY mor than me so i got competitive and iv read ever since

i was start reading on 8. and it was malory towers series. did anyone know those books?
