I forgot to add my reading goal.Reading goal: 1. Read a minimum of 30 minutes of fiction each day before I write a single word. Remember that every good writer must also be a reader. 2. Reread (without editing if I can help myself) what I've written during the previous day's writing session before adding new material. 3. A minimum of four hours each week reading books, blogs and essays on the writing craft.
I know my goals are modest, but I work full time and go to school full time as well. This will be a good challenge to get me started.
It's always good to include time for reading as well as writing. As you say, a writer has to read.I sympathise with you. I have a full time job, a company and a teacher-training course to juggle. We do what we can. It is to be hoped that eventually, we can ditch the job :)
Thanks Brigid! I'm so glad to see you so fully engaged in writing at a young age. Keep writing, and maybe we'll be congratulating you on a prestigious award one day!
Paul, you've got that ditching the job thing right! It's time to start trying to earn money doing things that I have a passion about.
Happy new year and good luck with the 200 word goal! And good luck with writing, it's so important that a writer reads.
