2. The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan. Just thought the book was okay. Maybe because I already knew how the book was going to end;)
I just read these books not too long ago, I loved them. Have you read the Heather Wells Mysteries or the Boy series?

1. Life of Pi by Yann Martel. I wasn't too sure about this book until I finished it. The last two chapters made me love it!
