Those are good choices right there, Pamela. Additionally, I'll put up these:The Bastards and the Knives by Scott Lynch
The Black Prism by Brent Weeks
Dust of Dreams by Steven Erikson (US Edition)
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
and especially, Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson
I'll also list A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin, though I'd be hugely surprised if we see it in 2010.
I am looking forward to The Black Prism by Brent Weeks. The Swords & Dark Magic: The New Sword and Sorcery looks good. Joe Abercrombie has a short included that ties into is next novel.
I am also looking forward to A Taint in the Blood: A Novel of the Shadowspawn and The High King of Montival by S M Stirling.
A Dance with Dragons would be nice, but yeah...not very likely.
What all is coming out this year? I'm not sure I know. I guess this would be my listThe Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss (if it comes out this year of course)
The Emerald Storm by Michael J. Sullivan
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
Empire in Black and Gold by Adrian Tchaikovsky (finally coming to U.S.)
Nights of Villjamur by Mark Charan Newton (hopefully also finally coming to the U.S.)

The Emerald Storm ..."
Pretty good list. Also looking forward to the Desert Spear by Peter V. Brett.
Really looking forward to the Rothfuss, Lynch books. The High King of Montival I haven't heard about yet - is that the newest in the Change series?
Elise wrote: "Mark Charan Newton (hopefully also finally coming to the U.S.)"Indeed I am coming to the U.S. - by virtue of the good people at Bantam Spectra, in June.
Martha wrote: "Really looking forward to the Rothfuss, Lynch books. The High King of Montival I haven't heard about yet - is that the newest in the Change series?"Yes Martha, The High King of Montival is the next in the Change series.
Though SF rather than Fantasy, I am really looking forward to Peter F. Hamilton's 3rd book in the Void Trilogy"Publication dates are not absolutely final yet, but The Evolutionary Void is tentatively scheduled for release in September 2010. And as a treat for Peter's US fans, this is the release date for both sides of the Atlantic! So there will be at most a couple of weeks difference between the UK and US releases."
I am saving the 1st 2 books until the trilogy is complete.

Oh, YAY!! Super looking forward to that then! I'm loving that series and I don't normally go for straight science-fiction/alternate history type stuff so much. Thank goodness, he's pretty regular about keeping the series going.
I'm looking forward to the next book by Michelle West.Plus the next books by Patrick Rothfuss and Brent Weeks.
I'm looking forward to:Shalador's Lady
The Wise Man's Fear
A Dance with Dragons (hopefully it will be published this year)
Glad to see that several people have The Emerald Storm on their anticipation list. I thought I would give an update. As some know, Michael's wife is his "story editor". She looks for continuity issues, plot holes etc. Robin had unexpected surgery on December 14th that has put her out of commission for over a month. She is recovering and is back to editing Emerald Storm. At this time there has been no word of a delay in the April release. I'll keep people posted as the date nears.
I am really waiting for the Dance of Dragons by GRRM. It is turning out to be a frustrating wait. I thought it was a definite release at 2009 end. If he doesn't release any other books, it is somewhat ok... but he is releasing other new novels... why not concentrate on DOD and finish it? I hope he adds a new synopsis of the past 4 books when he releases the new book because my guess is that most of us would have forgotten the story by the time the novel releases. Christopher Paolini added a synopsis of his previous books when he released Brisingr...
I'm most looking forward to Enchanted Glass by Diana Wynne Jones. It's already out in the UK and I wanted to import it so bad, but it costs quite a bit to import the book. So now I guess I'll have to wait until April for it to be released in America.
I'm looking forward to "Under Heaven," of course. Also, "Escaping the Tiger" and "Crossing the Tracks" because they were written by friends and are phenomenal. Sadly, neither is S.f./Fantasy, but hey, pobody's nerfect. ;D
looking forward to Shadowrise by Tad Williams and Abarat 3: Absolute Midnight by Clive Barker well if that ones published this year.
Here are a few I am looking forward to.Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson
Changes by Jim Butcher
Shadows of the Redwood: The Scions of Shadow Trilogy, Book One by Gillian Summers
Also looking forward to goodreads author Michael J. Sullivan's The Emerald Storm
Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to The Black Prism. I also have high hopes for Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings. As for Patrick Rothfuss, I hear he's good, but he's taking so long to get his books out that I might just wait until all 3 are done before I read NotW to avoid all the anticipation.
I just found out about a collection of short stories that will be out in March that I'm looking forward to reading.....Warriors. Edited by George R R Martinand it has stories from Diana Gabaldon, Hobb, Robin, Tad Williams, Naomi Novik and many others. Release date is March 16th!
Kendall wrote: "October 5th: R.A. Salvatore's new book is out. 1st book in a 6 book Drizzt set!"Looking forward to that one. If it's not Forgotten Realms, I don't really like it by him, but wow. New Drizzt!
Michael wrote: "Like plenty of others I'm looking forward to the next George R. R. Martin, but I don't expect to see that this year. 300 pages into The Name of the Wind I'm prepared to say that I'm anticipating th..."Ditto to all of your list! You answered the question for me :-)
The Wise Man's Fear isn't going to be out until 2011. Pat has given the exact date on his blog -- I think March?Otherwise, I am looking forward to a lot of the same books -- Lynch, Sanderson etc...

Changes was AWESOME!!! I promise no spoilers, but Changes definitely indicates a different direction in Harry Dresden's life. OK, lots of different directions.
I am also waiting for Towers of Midnight although I am rereading WoT before even picking up TGS.
Check off The Emerald Storm. I am now waiting for Winternight (I think that's the new title, can't remember) in October.
I can't think of anything that I'm just dying to get my hands on at this point that I KNOW is coming out this year. I have plenty on my TBR list to trudge through.
The Black Prism by Brent weeks.I loved The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent and i'm looking forward to his next book.
