Now, I know many of you enjoy paranormal romance as a way to relax! Please share your favourites here.

Darkpool | 222 comments I've just finished Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs, which I mentioned up in the "just to chat" thread. It's so funny, more paranormal chick-lit than romance probably, maybe "Bridget Jones Gets Turned" (no Colin Firth references that I can recall, but the heroine - a librarian - has a dog named "Fitz" after Fitzwilliam Darcy). It feels like the kind of book I'd come back to again and again, easy to read, a bit clever, good jokes and eccentric characters.

*Edit* Thank you Lisa! I just headed over to the bookshelf to add this, to discover you'd beaten me to it!

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) Darkpool, You're welcome. Always feel free to add your own books/add shelves to them. But, in order to make sure all members' books get on the shelves, Lee and I are pretty quick to add them as we see them. ;-)

Well I have read the women of the other world series a number of times over since I was told to try them last spring. I complained to a friend that I wanted a book that was Twilight, but ADULT, and this series is it! Here are my time and time again favourites out of the ten books.

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Stolen (Women of the Otherworld, #2) by Kelley Armstrong Broken (Women of the Otherworld, #6) by Kelley Armstrong Haunted (Women of the Otherworld, #5) by Kelley Armstrong Personal Demon (Women of the Otherworld, #8) by Kelley Armstrong Frostbitten (Women of the Otherworld, #10) by Kelley Armstrong

And to get a glimpse of the men...
Men of the Otherworld (Women of the Otherworld) by Kelley Armstrong

Though the main focus is Werewolves, Demons and Witches, there are some Vampires, but very little as they are considered illusive and rather anti-social... but wow, fabulous reads!

These could be considered Romance, though that is not the pervasive theme in these novels... not like my weekness that will be posted next... ;o)

Ooooh, I read nothing but L.J. Smith and Christopher Pike in High School, and when I am looking for a quick Saturday read I always pick one of their books up!

Darkpool | 222 comments Oooh, that Kelley Armstrong series is in my local library... maybe once I knock the current stack of requests I can move onto them!
I also rather enjoyed "Halfway to the Grave" but have not read any more of the series. Yet.

Wow Kat, the first one certainly has very high ratings!

Kat (A Journey In Reading) (ajourneyinreading) I love that series Lee. I read the first 4 in less than 4 days. I have been "pacing" myself on the last 5 :)

Wow, that's fast! You gobbled them up eh?

I just skimmed a few reviews and one of them mentioned how irritating the made up names were with letters (like H) inserted. Did that bug you?

Kat (A Journey In Reading) (ajourneyinreading) LOL, it really didn't. Most of them wind up with nicknames...... V (Vishous), Z (Zsadist).... etc.
