I'll start us off with this classic book of funny poems suggested by our member Chrissie.

the lives and times of archy & mehitabel by Don Marquis

Jenny Schwartz (jenny_schwartz) I love funny poems and have a small collection of old collections of fun verse.

But my very favourite anthology is The Oxford Book of Short Poems by James Michie I rave about this book and dip into it regularly.

Kandice I'm not a big poetry person, but I have two books on our shelves for when I or my children need a poem for a card or project, Best Loved Poems of the American People and A Treasury of the World's Best Loved Poems and between the two we can always find something suitable.

Dawn (dawn9655) I have a couple of books of poetry... W.B. Yeats, Tennyson and Dylan Thomas, but I get my comfort from poetry by writing it. Its not good, but it does what I need it to do.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) Dawn, That's great that you write poetry and get comfort from it. I loved William Butler Yeats's poems when I was a college freshman! Used to love poetry in college and high school more than I seem to now. At least I don't read so much now.
