Heather Impulse-control disorders are those that involve an inability to control impulses, resulting in harm to oneself or others. Types of impulse-control disorders include:

* Kleptomania (stealing)
* Pyromania (fire-starting)
* Trichotillomania (hair-pulling)
* Pathological gambling
* Intermittent explosive disorder
* Dermatillomania (skin-picking)

The after-effects one's acne-picking in dermatology is simply called 'excoriated acne'. I've seen dozens and dozens of pictures on this -- as well as some individuals who have 'excoriated acne' written all over their face and back. There was one time where I objectively pointed this out to a friend (he it in the his back and face), but I was quickly ignored. :/

Heather Wow, I have never heard of that! I think I know what you are talking about, the people seem to have pock scars all over their face? I have always thought that was so sad.

Oooh! I also had a female classmate before who appeared to be a kleptomaniac. If I wasn't careful I'd lose stuff from my bag or pencil case, finding her the next minute using the pen, and upon further investigation, more of my other stuff in her bag. This happened probably half a dozen times...

A. (almas) | 68 comments I just looked up Kleptomania...@Wikipedia they say that sometimes the person is not even aware of the act!!!

Heather I didn't know that! It's sad that a person being unaware of their actions must pay legal consequences. I wonder if the right therapy can 'help' them with the problem?
