I made mine on that Mad Men Yourself site. I got Mad Men DVDs for Christmas so I just started watching them. I did it a week or so ago because my New Year's status update was that I realized that 2009 was such a bad year it was giving me gray hair. So I made a gray-haired girl. It does kind of look like me though. Except with really, really gray hair.
I'm a huge fan of classic movies - go TCM! Like so many, I am an Audrey Hepburn fan. The photo in my avatar is me(ish). My mouth and chin, actually, resting on the cover of an Audrey Hepburn book.
You can see the full image of me in all my vain glory here: http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/im...

I love Audrey Hepburn. That's a great picture
Mine was taken when I was in Biloxi, Mississippi last spring. It was at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. I'm standing in front of Dimebag Darrell's guitar. Here's the close-up with a little more history of the guitar: http://www.goodreads.com/photo/user/1...
Mine changes frequently, which for everyone who knows me, knows is par for the course. Not that "I" change frequently, but I tend to change desktop backgrounds, avatars, etc. frequently. My personal theme, though, is hearts, so mine will almost always be some type of a heart. Usually something that goes with the current season. BTW - I can't wear yellow, either. It also makes me look jaundiced, or green.Fiona - I agree, whenever I see Tweety on Goodreads, I think it is you. Hopefully no-one else will usurp Tweety, or I will become really confused.
Rachel - your picture is really good. Did you say you took it yourself?? Good job!
My nickname as a girl was Ladybug, and my mom and dad still call me that or bugs, so I've kind of collected them my whole life.
I've had the same avi since I joined GR. It's "me" now. I've tried different ones, but I always look at my own posts and wonder who it was the posted them, LOL.
So I just stick with this. :)
I saw it and thought it was pretty funny, although I rarely watch TV myself. Here's a link to a bigger image: http://photo.goodreads.com/users/1255...

Yeah, but when I first "met" you, K, you had a red on black anarchy symbol, which made me think that you were hardcore. Now that I know you better, I still think that it represents you in a way, but the ladybug is YOU.
I have the red and black anarchy symbol on the back of my car. It gets me honks and waves, peace signs or thumbs up, mostly from young men;)
Mine is of my two miniature dauchshunds. I frequently change my picture just because I get bored with the same one. LOL
I just loved Wishbone when I was a kid :) I almost want to change my avi sometimes, but like Becky said, it just feels like "me" now so I roll with it.
Mine is just lil ole me. Self portrait. I haven't changed it since I joined. I chose it because it is one of the best ones of me. Really doesn't say much about my personality...I don't think.
Well, your posts will tell us about you, and your avi will give us a mental image:) YOU don't need to worry Liz!
I change avi's frequently and for theme they really only have reading in common. My favorites are sexy ones with funny sayings. The last couple of ones have been of either cats or dogs though. This my current one full blown:

Jackie picks GREAT avis. Too bad there can't be a "avis greatest hits" link or something. I like her girls that look like Varga girls.
Awww, thanks K! I have a couple of those girls, but I thought some of them would be to risque for GR. However, after seeing some other people's avis...I think you know the one I'm talking about... I probably will use some of them. hehe.
Ummm, yes, I do! *blushes*Varga girls are so...perfect, if a bit unrealistic. We can all dream, right?
Mine is me and my boy. I used to have a pic of our beagle sleeping on the couch with her squeak toy but someone stole her so I changed it.
I don't drink coffee either but I do love their frozen treats. Yummy! I love tea, but refuse to pay $3 for some hot water and a tea bag.
It's me with the Kheops pyramid behind me. They are bigger in real life then on pictures. Incredible...
I have an actual souvenir from Rachel's Egypt trip, and I have to say it is placed very, very proudly on my dresser. Having said that I WANT A PICTURE OF YOU IN FRONT OF A PYRAMID!!!! How cool would that be?
Urgh. I have a FB account, but I try hard not to use it. What's the link? I'll make an exception for you. :)

I've seen the picture and it's a great shot. It really looks like you are in the middle of BFE, which, I guess you are!
so my av is a self portrait I did from a fairy tale series. It's part of my senior thesis (I'm a photo student). hand colored black and white images. this one is Thumbelina!! I did 29 fairy tales, all of them self portraits for the first half of my thesis. I rephotographed them to put them on a cd for my prof and the quality isn't as good as it is in real life, but eh, I'm not too upset by it. And after posting I just realized this isn't the hand colored version LOL

Nice raspberry LOL. I have a blog with some of them on there! Its alyhansen.blogspot.com! some of my favorites!!

I paid some "backchich" ;-) lol the man with the guns took then the picture:-)
Your pictures are great too^^
AA!! That sounds kinda scary. I've always wanted to go to Egypt. Thanks, Rachel!!!! I don't mind at all!! I'm working on getting my website put up, so I'll post it on there when I do!!
baksheesh is part of their code of behavior ;-). I was also surprised regarding their taxis. We wanted to put our bags in the trunk but there was no place there. The taxis in Cairo have most of the time been modified in a way allowing them to run on gaz instead of petrol. They place the gas bottle in the trunk. We ended by placing our luggage on the roof of the taxi. And after the drive to the hotel we decided not to rent a car... way too dangerous.
Those pyramids are stunning! I saw the Myan pyramids in Mexico which are only a fraction of the Egyptian ones, but they still blew me away. I would love to see that in person.I can't even tell you why I picked my avatar. It was Royal Langnickle paint brushes?! (Which are an excellent choice if you enjoy oil painting and I know where to get them for super cheap!)
But I think I picked it as my avatar to remind myself to paint, which I haven't done in months. One would think if I picked actual artwork as my avatar, rather than brushes, I would feel more inspired!

What is your avatar? What does it represent to you? Why did you choose it?
