Ok the polls have showed that the majority who voted have either read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" or would like to read it for January. Those who have read it can contribute by commenting in this thread as we read the book (those of us who have not yet done so)! I am really excited to read it. So please head to your local library or borrow a copy from a friend. Anyone participating should try to aim for the book to be completed by the end of January. Please read at your own pace! I will post different threads for the various chapters, and a single thread for the general discussion of "A Thousand Splendid Suns".

Sincerely,
Jennifer (your group moderator)

OK so I have finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" last night. I posted little bits in the threads, so I can wait for you guys to post, and we can have a back and forth discussion.
Instead of the discussions being divided into chapters (chapters 1-5, 1-10, etc.) I changed it to "Parts" because the book is divided into Four Parts.

Soooo when you guys are reading Part 1, please post either your thoughts, or if you leave off in the middle of a part, post any comments you have :)
THank you!

PS- I am done reading, but I will wait to post more, because I do not want to prematurely post any spoilers. So my posts might not make to much sense if you havn't gotten to where I am, but once you do, you will understand completely what my post says lol. Cryptic ;)

Angie | 225 comments I'd love to read this book as part of a buddy read and maybe the authors two other books as well. I'll post here in case anyone wants to join in with me, this is such a good book. I'll start reading it around the beginning of May:-)
