I didn't realize there was a Cam thread! Major Cam fan here. I read 'Mine 'Til Midnight' before I read the Wallflowers so seeing Cam in 'A Devil in Winter' was ... confusing ... but fun.
So -- even though I really liked Cam and Amelia together, I still thought he belonged with Daisy after their scene in Devil. Strong believer here.
In any case, I love that Cam is such a major force in all the Hathaways books. I get all giddy as soon as he shows up. And he almost always seduces Amelia at some point even though they've been married for a while. Because he's just so hot he can't help it. Yummy!

OMG! For one I knew that Cam was hot but when I found out he wore and earring that's when I knew I was hooked on him! LOL!

Cam is blazing hot. I love how he's so sexy with Amelia, even though they're an old married couple now. I think Ms. Kleypas is fond of Cam. He's very much center stage in the Hathaway series.

Granted, I've only read 3 LK books so far (i'm still a newbie), but Cam is STILL my favorite. I honestly didn't think a fictional character could make my toes literally curl, but he did. Several times in Mine Til Midnight.

There hasn't been a hero that i haven't loved, but something tells me...no one is going to be able to replace Cam in my heart, Danielle. :)

Glad to know I wasn't alone. ;)
Any scenes with Cam is fine by me!
I'm rereading "A Scandal in Spring" and there's this part where Daisy asks about 'Mr. Rohan' and wonders if he could possibly secretly be an Irish lord. The answer was, of course, 'no way', but I thought that was funny.I wonder if what happened in "Seduce me at Sunrise" was always going to happen, or if that scene inspired it after the fact.

I just have to come back and give a shout out to my favorite Hathaway hero. I loved seeing him in MbM and I can't wait for Beatrix's story to see him again. I think his reaction to Beatrix falling in love could be interesting. Maybe not what you'd expect. He's so sanguine all the time and philosophical, I wonder if he might actually get a little uptight over Beatrix who seems to 'belong' to each of them in her way.
Whatever happens I just want me some Cam!
I wonder if LK will do a Hathaways Christmas story like she did for the Wallflowers. It'd be a big hit for sure.

I like his personality and he definitely knows how to handle Amelia.Yeah, I've read Cam in the Wallflowers, and there are his scenes in TDiW that I can see why some would like him with Daisy. However, for me Cam needed to grow up, and though Daisy isn't my fave Wallflower, I don't mind her w/ Matthew.
Cam's interaction with the Hathaway family is endearing and quite entertaining. He and Merripen, as well as Leo and now Harry, are quite the most bewitching men in the series.
I do hope that Cam makes cameo appearances in future LK books. That would be great to know!

I think Cam and Daisy are too similar to be a good couple. I think he is perfect for Amelia and vice versa.
Also, I've gotten used to reading about Cam and Amelia together. And frankly, I adore seeing them together in the Hathaways books.
Oh A Hathaway's christmas would be wonderful, quirky and fun!
Heidi wrote: "Oh A Hathaway's christmas would be wonderful, quirky and fun!"Hmm, I wonder how that will go. For sure, the kids would be hilarious and there would be some great quotes from the Hathaways.
I think Enrique Murciano (Danny Taylor in 'Without a Trace') would make a good Cam. With longer hair, he would definitely have that gypsy look.

I'm reading Mine Till Midnight now. But I do feel a little lost- not bad - just a lil. Should I stop and read the Wallflowers series first and then start over with this one?

Lady Danielle "The Book Huntress" wrote: "Nissie, If you're feeling lost, you might want to start with the Wallflowers, in that case."As we've discussed a few times here that means starting with the prequel Again the Magic! Here is the reading order- I preferred this series to the Hathaways but neither series produced a really outstanding book in my opinion. Some of the contributors here really like Again the Magic and that certainly has plenty of substance to it (I'm not a big one for brooding heroes though).

Thanks y'all! I think I will start over. It may sound a little nit-picky, but if I'm supposed to already know a character that shows up in a story, then I want to know them :)

I agree to some degree, Nissie. It really depends on the character grabbing my attention or not, though.
My problem was I wanted to know more about St. Vincent. The first scene I read that he was in, I just felt like I was supposed to know him and I didn't. Not a big thing to a lot of people I guess, but it is to me :)
Nissie wrote: "My problem was I wanted to know more about St. Vincent. The first scene I read that he was in, I just felt like I was supposed to know him and I didn't. Not a big thing to a lot of people I guess, ..."Ah, and that's why I adore it when characters from the previous books make cameo appearances in later books. It also helps that you get to know the character a bit more in their own book. That's why I grew to adore Marcus and Cam and Sebastian and Leo (my top four LK hotties) due to their appearances in the books before and after (especially after) their own. Yes, two had especially 'bad' characters before they turned a new leaf, but their personalities shine through. Whereas the other two...Marcus made his mark in the Wallies (I'm too tired to type the word out so I thus nicknamed that series that name) and are mentioned in the Hathies, while Cam made his appearances in Winter/Spring Wallies and the rest of the Hathies. Their characters evolved in a sense so that in their own way, they grabbed me and didn't let go.
And that's why I hope that they make cameo appearances (or at least be mentioned) in LK's future historical romances. Or at least, the fave characters would be nice (like Sebastian, for one).
That's exactly what I mean :) I read Catherine Coulter's Sherbrooke series a while back and all the characters show up in the following books and some of her other series as well. I love that! It just makes the story mean more that these siblings and cousins and friends are all still alive and well and you get a little bit more of their story. I just started reading Lisa Kleypas, so I still have to get several of her books before I can really get down to business and I can't wait!!
