On the Same Page discussion

2009 was filled with many wonderful new reads from Shiver to Beautiful Creatures. I read over 100 books this year, most of which were all unique and had some of the most creative plots I have ever seen. To books that should be recognized are "Beautiful Creatures" and my favorite "Shiver." Each of these had well developed plots and characters, that add elements I had never thought of. They were some of the most unique books I have ever read. I picked up "Beautiful Creatures," hooked on the name and creative cover. I think after I had read less then the first page I was hooked. I liked this book so much that I went searching around for autographed copies from both of the authors. I did the exact same for Shiver. Other books of note are Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, hilarious and unique, and the Two "Darkest Powers" books, the first of which is "The Summoning. There were so many wonderful books of 2009 that I can't think of them all on the spot. I hope that we can continue talking far in 2010 and even longer.Beautiful Creatures

I read Shiver and The Darkest Powers, but not the other two.

There were other amazing books, like Tempted. I was a bid disappointed (not a bit, a lot, actually) with Faded. I couldn't even finish it! Also a disappointment: The 4th Blue Bloods. She ran out of ideas, I guess.

Hi, Im new here! I agree with your picks for 2009 completely! I loved Graceling and Fire was great as well. Shiver and The Summoning were definitely at the top of my favorites list. I also enjoyed As You Wish by Jackson Pearce because it was a fun light read. Anyway, can't wait to talk books!
