Scoundrels Series - Loretta Chase
This is a Regency series although the first book at least is rather non-traditional in that it takes place primarily in Albania. Although I haven't finished the series, I believe that the connection lies in each book introducing the hero of the book to follow, but they seem like they could probably stand alone fairly well. I read Book #3 - Lord of Scoundrels first and didn't even realize it was part of a series and didn't really feel like I was missing out on anything. It is a top favorite among many romance readers including myself.
