I read WHAT I DID FOR LOVE when it first came out. It was the first of her books I've read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are two earlier books about character in this book. She said it wasn't a series and it is true the book is a stand alone, however, I'd like to know their stories. I don't read many contemporary romances, but am glad I read this one. It was interesting to see how the bad boy had matured.
Forgot to mention what I'm reading. I'm listening to Tony Hillerman's FIRST EAGLE. I'm reading THE ANGEL by Carla Neggers, THE LIGHTENING THIEF by Riordan, and ECLIPSE by Meyer (I'm a children's librarian). Will have to toss a coin to see which historical I'll get to read next.
I'm reading Dear John-Nicholas Sparks. The trailers for the movie look good so I needed to read the book before seeing the movie.
Hi Calila,I just finished Dear John. :) I think Nicholas Sparks is such a good writer. Enjoy ! I'll say nothing else except I look forward to seeing the movie.

But doesn't someone always die at the end of his books?

Not always. :) But they are usually just as sad. I'm either crying happy tears or sad. This was half a box of frustrated tears. lolCarol L.
I just finished The Soldier's Holiday Vow by Jillian Hart, it was good. I'm going to start Letters From Home by Rhonda Nelson next.
I've been working my way through Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series recently, which is sort of a combination contemporary and historical series, but leaning a bit historical. I love them though!
I'm almost finished MOST LIKELY TO DIE by Lisa Jackson, Beverly Barton, and Wendi Corsi Staub. Next will be an historical romance. I'm just trying to decide which one. I have so many good ones on my TBR pile.
I just started "A Firefighter in the Family" by Trish Milburn. I was given this book and felt in the mood to change things up. ^^
I just finished Revenge Wears Rubies and am getting ready to submit the review.

I just ordered this book. I can't wait to read it.

I've picked it as one of my "Read with Me" Books (something new I started this month). Hopefully you get your copy soon so you can read along with me. Although if you just ordered, I'll probably have finished before you get it. I'm holding myself to 4-5 chapters a day (very difficult!) but it would have to be fast shipping. Here is a link to my "Read with Me" discussion. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3...
Okay, I just finished reading Just the Sexiest Man Alive and while the story kept me completely turning the pages, I have to say I was sooooo disappointed that this book, heat level-wise, could have been an inspirational. I wanted heat. I didn't get heat. Sigh.

Well, until this month I was working closely with the Harlequin Historical line so I'm not familiar with past titles in the Lakeshore books. I can say without question that I am really enjoying The Summer Hideaway. It is a very emotional read. The character George has terminal cancer and has been told he won't last much longer.

I like all of the drama with her. I find myself focusing on her more than the main characters in certain books :)

I liked that book very much. I hope you enjoy it too.

@Lettetia I did enjoy it. Loved Jack but sometimes I wanted to shake Ella. Not often tho lol.Next up is Demonfire by Kate Douglas
Right now I am reading Sill the One by Robin Wells and enjoying it very much. Next up on the reading agenda is Live to Tell by Wendy Corsi Staub.
Samantha, I just wanted to give you a head's up. The next Lakeshore Chronicles book will be Daisy's story. Susan Wiggs wrote a letter to the readers at the end of The Summer Hideaway letting us know that she knows there are many question about her and that her story is next. :)

I want answers :) I hope she don't put her with the baby father.
Just started
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie earlier today. I've never read any of her books before, but I love the way this one begins! (I'm on page 70.)

It will.
It will.

Wait till you read his book...

Well I'll be waiting for a while since I need to tackle some other stuff on my tbr pile. But I can't wait to know how he redeem himself.
Now I'm reading Kindred in Death by J.D. Robb. Is this the place for it? Its not really a contemp but definitely not a historical.
Next up is Big Girls Don't Cry by Cathie Linz. Bought it just because it has a plus-size heroine. I hope it's good *fingers crossed*
