What do you think makes a children's book stand out?

For me it's a variety of reasons that include fun and giggles, books that are good read alouds, those that cause a child to ask questions and see the world and people around them in a different way, beautifully illustrated books that are a feast for the eyes.

And all that!

I wonder if any of you want to receive some free illustrations from my Picture Book (I have written a novel, as well)? I class you all as my new friends, so here is my email.....just say who you are and I will send some....

I have just had a lovely review from a Nursery Nurse....so little ones seem to enjoy them!!!

Beautiful work, Carrie. I hope you don't mind but I'm going to take the liberty of posting your website here:

Children's books have to be my favorite genre. I used to love reading to my children when they were young. Keep up the wonderful work!
