Valentine's Day Challenge
Since it's February, and everyone knows that dreaded (I mean awesome) holiday is coming... we have created a V-Day Challenge!Pick a book that's PNR or UF that relates to Valentines Day. It could be about angels, love, sex etc... (the subject could relate, or the cover art could relate)
If you would like to read more than one, that's great. You can even start your own thread detailing what books you've decided to read, or you can just post it here in the V-Day Challenge thread.

I'm going to be reading: Sucker for Love by Kimberly Raye
The main character runs a dating service for the undead, and the cover has a heart :)
I had never heard of that book before! Looks good. I'll have to check it out. Hmm....I'm going to have to think about what book I'm going to read!

Jess that is a good one. It is on the lighter crazy side of paranormal. Lil just cracks me up!!

I know she's great. I completely forgot that the new one had already come out. And I was looking for something that fit the category and realized that one did!
I'm going to go with the Angel and Kisses theme:Progress: 3 of 3 Complete Finished, just finished before midnight! Whoo, hoo!

This sounds interesting. I'm going with Mistral's Kiss (Meredith Gentry, #5) by Laurell K. Hamilton.
Great one Sarah! Shannon- I've never ready anything by either of those authors. What are they about?
I think that I'm probably going to do a re-read.Truly, Madly by Heather Webber. The main character's last name is Valentine, she's working as a matchmaker (sort-of) and there's a heart on the cover!
I actually have an ARC of it, but for those of you interested in using it, the release date is February 2nd!
Kelley Anne wrote: "Great one Sarah! Shannon- I've never ready anything by either of those authors. What are they about?"Well, Archangel's Kiss is the second book in the Guild Hunters series. It's Urban Fantasy with Romantic Elements set in modern times, and basically its about Hunters who police the vampire population for the angels that have created them. It's a really good series! Loved the first book Angels' Blood, and recommend it before reading the next to get the background!
Fallen is the second book of the Seven Deadly Sins series, which I haven't read any books from at all, but will start with this one. This book is about a fallen angel cursed to never know love again until he meets a certain special lady. It sounded excellent when I picked it up and I normally don't read books out of sequence, but I'm going to bend my rules just a bit and read this for the challenge!
I can't wait for Archangel's Kiss!! I've been stalking BN hoping that it gets put on the shelves early. After reading the teaser at the back of Blaze of Memory I want it even more!!

I hear ya Jess! I've been stalking BN, Borders, and Walmart like a crazy person! LOL! I just can't wait!
I'm going to read Personal Demons by Stacia Kane. love the cover!
2/18Also read:
by Heather Webber 2/16
I'm going with the love/heart theme and will read[image error] My Love Lies Bleeding by Alyxandra Harvey
If i have the time i'm going to read: Fantasy Lover. The main protagonist is the half brother of Eros, and Eros himself makes an appearance.Strange Candy, contains a short story called A Lust of Cupids, which fits the theme perfectly.
An i already planned to read Archangels' Kiss, although i'm not sure what the connection between Angels and Valentines day is. Maybe because Angels have wings like Cupid?
Betelgeuze wrote: "If i have the time i'm going to read: Fantasy Lover. The main protagonist is the half brother of Eros, and Eros himself makes an appearance.Strange Candy, contains a sho..."
OO I love Fantasy Lover. I hope you have time to read it!
Yeah.. I figured angels would work because of the wings.. and there aren't many books with Cupid but there are currently a bunch with angels. Trying to make it easier to find books :)
I think I am going to steal an idea from Shannon, but go with the first one as I can't read out of order, and want to read a new book. I'll be going with
by Erin McCarthy. Looks to be about a fallen angel. I was even at B&N stalking the shelves for something that would fit this, but I haven't read. A lot of you have picked some great books!!
Darcy - I've been avoiding that book because it's historical. I'm interested to see what you think of it.
I have several new books that would fit in this category. I do not know if I can get them all read in Feb, but I am going to try.Flirt by Laurell K. Hamilton
First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost
Demon Possessed by Stacia Kane
Blood of the Demon by Diana Rowland
Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison

I'm not sure if the book I chose will be here within the month. I'm number 3 on the list, and I think the person that has it now, has had it for awhile. I might change it later... blah.
I think they are trying to torture me by witholding the books i really want to read. I still haven't gotten a hold of: death's mistress, shades of midnight, sucker for love, skin deep... and who knows what else. But they gave me Girl who played with fire. Which I was only mildly interested in lol.
I hear you about not getting the ones you want. I am waiting for Shades of Midnight too. It drives me nuts when a book has been released and I am on the wait list with a low number and they still have it's status listed as pending.
I finished the book that I choose My Immortal by Erin McCarthy and have to say that I ended up liking it more than I thought. At first I thought it was going to be a historical romance type book and I am not a big fan of that, but this one went back and forth between today and 200 years ago and did it in a good way. I will be continuing the series.
Darcy wrote: "I finished the book that I choose My Immortal by Erin McCarthy and have to say that I ended up liking it more than I thought. At first I thought it was going to be a hi..."I'm going to read that book in March (too many challenges in February). Did you do a review?
I just finished Mistral's Kiss (Meredith Gentry, #5) by Laurell K. Hamilton and I did not like it anymore than I have any other Laurell K. Hamilton book. I just can't get into her books. I just keep putting them down and I have to make myself read them. I don't believe I will be reading anymore of her books.
Carolyn F. wrote: "Darcy wrote: "I finished the book that I choose My Immortal by Erin McCarthy and have to say that I ended up liking it more than I thought. At first I thought it was go..."I did put up a review.
I just finished Archangel's Kiss and I wasn't really that disappointed with the lack of battle. Nearly every other book already has that; this one was filled with intimacy, and that's much rarer. I really enjoyed it.
The way I see it, sex demons go hand-in-hand with Valentine's Day. :)read 4 out of 4 COMPLETE!
2. Desire Unchained by Larissa Ione
3. Passion Unleashed by Larissa Ione
4. Ecstasy Unveiled by Larissa Ione
Amanda - I've seen those books around quite a bit. What are they about? They must be good considering that you read 4 of them this month!
Hey Kelley Anne! The same thing happened to me - I kept seeing them everywhere and hearing great things about them. So, I finally broke down and bought the first one, and I loved it. Given that the brothers are sex demons, it can be frustrating to hear about their exploits before they get into their relationships; however, it's totally worth it. Book five comes out this fall. (Yay!)
