I think I'll give it a try, too...

Today I will fly the rainbow colored fish kite I've had sitting in the back seat of my Outback. I bought it just an hour before I had an appendicitis attack two and a half weeks ago. It's been sitting there, blowing bubbles I'm sure, waiting for me.

As soon as my husband gets home, we're going out into the West Desert to fly our falcon, Mr. Hobbs. Little Mr. Bubble Fish will get a chance to fly, all by grace of a string, while Mr. Hobbs will get a chance to fly and dive at 275 miles an hour, by grace of the miracle of life.

And I will feel like I'm flying, because after two long weeks, I'm no longer a fish out of water. I'm standing up straight again, and my wounds are healed.

Today I will finish my homework and read, The Golden Compass.

Today I will open up my eyes and get amused and be amazed once more

Today I will discover a brand new day, an opportunity to start over anew, to continue the journey through a different path, to blossom, to delight, to rejoice, to learn, to grow
